12 seconds crashes during posting process.
The site crashes when I record a video, during the posting process. Crash to desktop. Also audio is very scratchy, though I have a very good microphone.

Inappropriate?Hi Beach,
I am having this problem too, both in FF and IE. I am running Vista (shiver). Maybe I need to reinstall my Adobe flash player? It doesn't just crash during posting, but sometimes freezes up or crashes during watching.
I’m curious

Inappropriate?Majah, can you try going here and installing flash?
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downlo...
Then see if the trouble persists.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I'm having this problem on FF3 and Safari 2 on Mac OS X 10.4. Worked fine at my office on FF3 Windows XP SP3.
I’m sure it will be fixed eventually...
-
Inappropriate?Okay so I just tried reinstalling Flash Player 9 and that didn't work. Then I tried Flash Player 10 Beta 2 and that didn't work. So I'm lost. The Posting is actually successful, then it redirects me, then it crashes...
I’m Happy it at least works I guess...

Inappropriate?Just to add my details to the problem:
I'm running on Macbook pro, using the built in camera. Recording the video works fine but when I hit "Post It" it crashes (although the post is successful.) I also can get this by clicking on "Respond" to the challenge, and then once the record a video screen comes up click "Respond" again and as it goes to refresh Firefox Explodes. OS X 10.5.4, Firefox 3.0.1 Flash 9,0,124,0 installed
I’m bummin'

Inappropriate?Goldie. Thanks for all the info! I really appreciate it. We're looking into this and are trying to figure out what the problem is...
one thing to try is clearing your browser cache and reloading the recorder page... the updated recorder may solve the problem...
let us know. thank you again! and we're very sorry for the trouble. -
It, unfortunately, still explodes. It updates the viewer with "Posting..." and it is loading the page and the status bar is like 5/6 across, but when it goes to draw the loaded page it explodes (rather the browser crashes) On the upside, hitting respond (to the daily contest) twice in a row doesn't cause the browser crash. -
I think I've found the problem, at least for me. If I use the build in microphone the browser doesn't crash on posting. If I set the audio to the USB Headset when I post it crashes the browser. -
Inappropriate?I'm using a Logitech usb webcam and its built-in mic on a Mac Pro tower, with FF3, and my browser always crashes on posting too.
Although I'm noticing that I can only record one time, and if I get it right that time (rather than trying for a second take), everything works except for the browser crash on posting. However, if I go for a second take, I can't replay/watch the video when I click play. Or, if it lets me watch the video, the sound is only partially recorded. And then of course the browser crashes.
So my workaround for now is to hope to get it right on the first take, or else close my browser and try again from a fresh start.
I’m looking around for a donut to make me feel better, but I'm otherwise ok.

Inappropriate?Oh dear... I also have this problem - started using FF as a secondary browser just for 12-secs so I don't lose safari. Really enjoying 12s though...
I’m mildly narked
