Allow more than 140 characters in tweets.
It'd be nice if you could enter more than 140 characters into the tweet box. Even if it won't let you submit more than 140 characters (which it should because Twitter allows it), sometimes you just need >140characters to reword something to 140 or less.

Inappropriate?Sending from the API i believe does cut it completely to 140 characters. I do get what you mean about rewording it though. Might be something we can do...

Inappropriate?Yeah, this strict 140 char limit is one of the most annoying parts of twitter apps. I mean, the official twitter page allows you to do into the red (negative chars), so I think everything else should too. It'll make the experience more seamless. -
