CoolIris record video blank on Asus EEE 4G Linux
Record video complained about not having CoolIris installed but still does nothing after CoolIris installed.
Asus EEE 4G Linux running Firefox 3.0.1
Firefox upgraded to Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060214 Firefox/3.0.11 GTB5
Log in to http://12seconds.tv/channel/Netscr1be
Click record
Record window blank
Firefox error console shows
Failed to load XPCOM component: /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/32u0mdlv.default/extensions/{3112ca9c-de6d-4884-a869-9855de68056c}/components/unitsdata.bz2
There was another similar message about a .so file but it got pushed out of the error console by a bunch of CSS issues.

Inappropriate?Hey,
I'm still kind of confused by what the issue is here... CoolIris isn't needed for our site except as an optional way to view RSS feeds. The site shouldn't be prompting you to install it for any other reason. If you load the site up and the recorder doesn't show, it's a problem with your installation with flash. If the recorder never shows, the flash isn't loading and there isn't anything on our end that we can do about it.
I would suggest reinstalling flash - I am not familiar with using Flash on Linux. We support our site using the top 3 browsers (IE/Firefox/Safari) and Windows/OSX. It should work in Linux, but we don't make any guarantees due to incompatibilities with various video cameras and drivers along with just compatibility with flash itself which is known to have many bugs in Linux. -
Inappropriate?I appreciate the effort but that's not much help. If the videos play (which they do) then flash works. I just played mine again and I see the flash logo before the arrow comes up on the play button in the centre of the video.
Cooliris is a red herring and it doesn't work (in my version of my Linux distro) anyway.
if it's a driver issue then code that runs the record module should say so. It doesn't say anything at all so there's no watchdog timer, no error info - we're just left hanging. If there's a Flash issue it should complain about that. Not working without throwing an error message is unacceptable.
How hard is it to publish a list of supported drivers?
I had high hopes for 12S.tv. The sound on my phone is not great (especially outdoors) nevermind the expense of emailing video. Now I can't use my Asus EEE 4G either.
I’m frustrated
