Post to Basecamp via email
No matter how much a team wants to use Basecamp, it’s unavoidable that a significant amount of project communication will happen via email. For another client of mine, we use Google Groups, and I’ve found it’s pretty easy for a team to get into the habit of putting the Google Group’s email alias on CC when they send emails back and forth to each other. This way, people don’t have to shift their whole project communication approach away from what they’re most familiar with, but all of this email conversation can be captured and consolidated as threads within the Google Group ‘Discussions’ page.
I love this, and I’m wondering if Basecamp has any plans to enable people to post messages by sending to an email alias.

Inappropriate?Basecamp already accepts replies via email... just not original posts.

Inappropriate? And this is really the problem. We need to forward email correspondence, proof files, etc. to BC without having to send an original message in BC first. Kind of defeats the purpose.
NOTE that we too are now using MailManagr.com. GREAT tool. Would be better is they allowed project names to be parsed in the subject line. Setting up and email address for each project is almost as bad as setting up a source message in BC. But it's still a great timesaver.
