WHY 140 Char. Send Limitation ???
I receive SMSs much longer than 140 chars. WHY are we limited to sending 140 chars? Thank you in advance.

Inappropriate?The 140 character limit is a limitation on SMS technology, hence the full name of SMS, Short Message Service. The reason why you can receive messages that are longer than 140 characters is because most current phones have the ability to take multiple messages and splice them together upon their receipt to look like they are actually one message.
We are currently working on a solution to allow our users to send messages with more than 140 characters by essentially slicing the messages into 140 character "chunks" just before they are sent and reconnecting the "chunks" before they arrive in the recipient's inbox.
