Is there a report I could run that
would show the package name that I had
created to the package number stored
in the 42 tags data file. If not this
would be a great feature to have. At
least I would have a printed road map
if i were to have software problems
in the future.

    Rodger,

I believe that you will not need to use that because 42Tags was planned to be very robust, but in order to make you 100% sure I will describe an easy method to do it.

This is an advanced topic and 98% of our users doesn't need to be concerned with this issue.

    Anyway...

42Tags does not use a proprietary format and your files kept as is in data folder in the except that the file name is renamed to have a prefix number (e,g. MyWorkSheet.xls turns into Pkg12_MyWorkSheet.xls).

We also left the configuration files (in an xml format which you can view in notepad or xml pad or internet explorer) viewable and easy to understand.

If you look in the 'Configuration' folder you will find 4 xml files describing the structure.

    * Do not change and of the files, just use it as a read only information, please check that 42Tags is closed (check the tray!) before opening them.

The packages.xml files contain a map between the id (the number you described) and the name of the package and the files and tags contained within.

    Regards,
    Shimon,
