bold vertical line on RHS of scan page

I recently downloaded 42tags and tried scanning using an HP Laserjet 2840. I'm getting a bold vertical line down the rhs of my scan. Can you suggest a way to get rid of this. I am scanning A4 pages, everthing else is working OK.
