I hear you have a new travel magazine coming out!
Called "Everywhere," though I can't remember where I read about it. Are there any details you can share already? How will the "people-powered" component of this magazine work, as compared to 8020 -- will it be the same setup, or do you have some new ideas for how people can share information that's specific to the travel industry?

Yeah! You heard right. The site will be at everywheremag.com and we've set the launch date for September. There will be some similarities to JPG, but since we're talking about a different topic, things will be arranged differently, focusing on places and themes instead of photos and themes. Unfortunately, we can't really say more at this point.

Inappropriate?that's very exciting. and, in the meantime, lacking any additional info i'm sure we can just make stuff up. it's all user-generated after all, right?
-
Inappropriate?Correct. You'll be about to write about your experiences and upload photos, and tie them to locations. These don't have to be just from your travel experiences; though the visitor's perspective is definitely appreciated, we're also looking to get the local perspective.

Inappropriate?i love the idea of a travel mag that includes local flavor. that's the sort of thing i always want when i go anywhere knew -- an idea of what the in-the-know locals think i ought to be doing. god bless authentic media.

Inappropriate?Thats what we think too - and each issue of the printed magazine will include some of the most interesting places and stories for you to read - providing that regular dose of travel inspiration. We are definitely looking forward to it.

Inappropriate?yeah, the travel industry mags are so incredibly moribund, filled with what i can only assume is placed content and sponsored material. and guidebooks are so broad, i don't get a whole lot of real value out of them beyond your standard "do this tourist thing, go to fisherman's wharf" instructions. and there's good local stuff on the web already, it's true, but, c'mon, how much time do you want to spend on the web when you're traveling?
so, a printed magazine seems like it will fill this hole quite nicely. i think you kids might really be on to something!
