replies are missing
I just noticed that some of my replies are missing when running PT. Disabled it and I get more replies.

Inappropriate? No replies yet? OK - well here's a screen shot for ya. Two images - one with PowerTwitter, one without. Note that some of my replies are just plain missing with PT.
It looks like all my followers with protected "padlocked" profiles aren't showing up with PowerTwitter. I also noted a "RT @chrischampion" shows up on my PowerTwitter page, but not with "regular old" Twitter - not that I need to see a RT, but nice I guess. Please FIX the protected updates. Thanks!

Inappropriate? So this is more of a twitter issue. PT uses twitter search for @replies and it *should* get all leading replies and all mentions of your username.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?but since those people protect their updates, you can't just use twitter search to read their updates. That's why you log in to Twitter to see all your friends' updates.
So its a PT issue - if I use Twitter's homepage, I can see those replies. If I use Twitteriffic, I see those replies. Same goes with TweetDeck. Maybe there's something in the APIs that says "authenticate to see all replies"?
For now - I suggest that you put code at the top of the page informing people that if they are using PowerTwitter they will only see replies from people that DO NOT have their updates protected.

Inappropriate?Nice! I didn't think about the protected ones in search. OK, I need to think about how to merge those somehow...
-
Inappropriate?I use multiple Twitter clients; such as TweetDeck, TweetFox and Twhirl. Then there are my iPhone apps that I use.
I’m groovy.

Inappropriate?I'm getting this too - protected replies not showing up. I'm typing http://twitter.com/replies in to see them all.
It is disappointing that twitter doesn't show allowed protected tweets in the search, but given that it doesn't, you probably shouldn't replace the normal replies link. Perhaps add another link instead?
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate? This is tricky because very very few people have protected updates. So most people are much more likely to miss a "mention" than a protected @reply. I think including a link might be a short term fix.

perhaps you could just pressure the twitter guys to finally tie search into the site instead of keeping it separate. i really want to be able to be logged in there.

OTOH, it's worse to miss a reply than a mention. And powertwitter should only add functionality to twitter, not take any away.
Pressuring them would be good too.
