Inappropriate?Have you tried Evernote using Opera mini? It's amazing.
-
Inappropriate? The thing is, I want to be able to create notes offline. I use Evernote for so much I don't want to have to be dependent on coverage. I want to write notes on planes and in carparks and then sync them up later.
I’m wanting something more
-
Inappropriate?I use my BlackBerry endlessly and I love Evernote, but it would be AWESOME if there was a Evernote BB app. I don't really like having to login to my BB browser to use Evernote. Show the BB community some love and make us an app....(pretty please with sugar on top).....
-
Inappropriate?i recently lost my iphone and now i'm stuck using a blackberry. as an app i had become addicted to evernote on the iphone. please please please please please bring it to the blackberry
-
Inappropriate? It boggles the mind that there isn't a Blackberry (including Storm) app for Evernote....
I’m dissappointed
-
Inappropriate? Is you, like, discriminating against Blackberrys? :P
I'm looking forward to BB support - since it's one of the largest and most widely used platforms (more than the iPhone)
I’m frustrated, looking forward to a solution.
-
Inappropriate? There's an app for all other mobile platforms, so why not BlackBerry?
-
Inappropriate? Please, please release Evernote for BlackBerry via the new BlackBerry App World!
-
Perhaps you could make a more unhelpful comment? Oh wait, you can't. -
@ Shawn Wallace: I take it your comment is more of a "do as I say" than a "do as I do," yes? -
Inappropriate?@ jdhas I have no idea what your comment means.
-
listen guys. i can just delete my comment if that makes you both happy. im looking for evernote for bb for a friend that does not use iphone (yet) so im all for it. evernote is still a bit rough around the edges though. -
Inappropriate?BlackBerry is such a popular platform. I would LOVE to have an actual app. I would seriously consider a Pro account because of it.
I’m frustrated, but hoping
-
Inappropriate?Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote, was on Net@Night this week and Leo asked specifically if there would be a BB app. He dodged the question, but not sure how to interpret that. Either the answer is yes, and he didn't want to let the cat out of the bag, or the answer is no, and he didn't want to piss anyone off. Or, maybe it's yes, but for premium accts only.
Take a listen...

Later, around 00:47:20, he says they have plans for all the major devices, but haven't committed to dates. Within that, he basically makes it pretty obvious that he's simply trying to be hush-hush about all the details. I guess that's why there's been no response from them here.
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate?I'm not sold. They don't have to commit to a date to give some indication that they are going to offer a BB app. I remain quite frustrated.

Inappropriate? Is anyone else having trouble finding it in AppWorld?
-
Inappropriate?I'm pretty disappointed that the Blackberry app doesn't support OS 4.5. At this point, new apps for Blackberry should support 4.5. I'm curious what the reason is.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I was able to find the app by name in App World, and by category. If it's not working for you, what network carrier are you using?
Until BlackBerry 4.6, RIM didn't include an HTML control that was capable of displaying Evernote notes within an application. 4.6 is the first version of their platform that gave developers a real way to use HTML in an app. -
Thanks for the reply Engberg. If the OS doesn't support what they need then they have to do what that have to do. But it still sucks bigtime. That's a LOT of people who are unsupported -
I agree that it sucks, because I'm also running 4.5 and can't upgrade to 4.6. I'm very, very sad. -
Inappropriate?I agree with Chris, I just got a Blackberry today (loaded with OS 4.5) and was thrilled to find this app. Now I found out it's not compatible - it makes me feel like my phone is already obsolete!
I’m sad, frustrated
-
Inappropriate?More frustration here! Blackberry App World only works in US, Canada and UK... that leaves a lot of people out... In may case, I'm from Spain
I’m frustrated
-
Me too. I'm in Australia. :-( -
Inappropriate?Evernote for BlackBerry only works on recent BlackBerries that are running operating system version 4.6 or later. To check the version on your device, hold down the 'alt' and 'shift' keys at the same time and then hit 'h'. Your device must say
App Version: 4.6.0.0
or higher to run Evernote. If your device is running an older version of the operating system, you should contact your carrier to upgrade.
If you are running a suitable version of the BlackBerry, you can download Evernote from the App World.
If you can't access App World, then you try an unsupported preview from:

Inappropriate? As soon as I installed it told me there was an update. But when I tried to install the update the download always failed. I was however able to log into Evernote and see my past notes. May upgrade to premium now. If only there was a native Linux client :o(
I’m happy
-
I agree. I just got Evernote premium (for the added ssl security), on the assumption a blackberry app would come soon. However I'm also on OS 4.5! :-( And the Evernote main client I'm waiting on is Linux as that's my main desktop system. -
Inappropriate?I was also very unhappy with Evernote releasing their much anticipated BB client exclusively on AppWorld. And I find that so unnecessary since it is a FREE client! I wrote to them to record my point that there are Evernote users around the world, and it is silly to just limit it to US, UK and Canada just because AppWorld is limited due to their payment policies.
-
Inappropriate? They just released direct download links!
BlackBerry OS 4.5 and later

Thanks for posting this! -
shouldn't that say OS 4.6? That's what the Evernote blog post says - though, I downloaded it to my 4.5 device and it works fine so far! :) -
I tried it on my OS 4.5 and it didn't work. :( -
Inappropriate? Finally! I still didn't understand why they had it exclusively on AppWorld to start with! Nothing so exclusive in AppWorld when it only reaches 3 countries!
-
I didn't find it in App World. -
Inappropriate?I've been considering switching to the iPhone from my Pearl for the past few days - not just for Evernote, but it was a driver. However the Evernote app appears to run ok (so far) on 4.5. With limited testing I *guess* that the 4.6 requirement comes when it switches to the browser and tries to display some of the multimedia content that Evernote notes might hold?
-
It appears to work on my BB Peal v4.5.0.18. I've added text notes ok (tags, picks the notebook fine too), and searched and found notes (at which point it flicks over to the phone's browser to display the notes. I am guessing this is the bit where the 4.5 browser might not cope with certain rich media content that Evernote can contain? For my text notes so far it's been ok) -
Inappropriate?Yes, Evernote for BlackBerry is here now! http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/...
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?I'm glad we finally have an app, but it doesn't seem to do much....
I can't view any of my notes offline, and I can't create notes offline. Whats the point? Wasnt it possible before to just view this from your mobile browser?
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate?evbart, I agree with you about the "offline" thing. I was at a conference a couple weeks ago and, during a session in one of the lower level rooms, had no signal, therefore I couldn't open Evernote to take notes. Lame.
I’m frustrated.
-
Inappropriate? This is a great first step. I am really looking forward to saving and editing notes from the SD card. I hope it's coming soon.
I’m unsure
