Evernote should implement 'smart folders' on the mac at least.
take a look at Journler for the mac and you will see a pretty good implementation of 'smart folders'. there's some use in them and they are usually unobtrusive. not a priority IMO but if easy to implement then option to use them should be in Evernote for mac.

Inappropriate?Evernote already has equivalent functionality: You can save a set of search criteria using the "Save" button in the top-right corner, and then repeat this search later using the "Saved Searches" section in the bottom-left.

thanks for this tip. i guess mac users have been used to the 'smart folders' paradigm for a while and didn't think of looking for 'saved searches' that are essentially the same thing. I guess that harks to Evernote's origin as a windows app.
