Font format changes do not stick.

Formatting is buggy and changes do not always stick, particularly when working with checkboxes. I would be happier in fact if I could choose to have everything in plain text with a default format. I rarely need to change the font or size. But notes switch between times and verdana and back again despite my best efforts to clean things up.
