Improve keyboard shortcuts and usability of Evernote for Mac.
The mac Evernote app is limited in keyboard navigation support. A good example is opening an entry that can currently only be done by double clicking it in the entry list. Even pressing enter on a highlighted entry will not open it. Furthermore, there is no application menu shortcut that I would be able to add a keyboard shortcut to through OSX's preferences. Its only in the context menu and those can't be assigned to a shortcut.

Inappropriate?I submitted this as a support request some time ago as well... i think there's a lot to be desired in the keyboard navigation in evernote Mac.
The biggest issue i have is that tab doesn't really do what I want in a note...l tabbing through each of those MANY text styling options when creating a note is absolutely tedious. Text styling is actually one of the few things I'm more than happy to have to use a mouse to do... the tab should skip over all of that.
I'd be even happier if i could simply collapse that entire tool bar so that not only do i not have to tab through those items, I don't even have to see them. I rarely style my notes and don't care so much if that's hard to do. I do prefer to navigate applications with a keyboard, so not being able to efficiently do that -- which essentially forces me to use the mouse -- is quite frustrating.
I don't want to sound like a whiner... Evernote really is great in most ways, but that makes the relatively few issues I have with it seem even more glaring in a way.

i hear you and i actually just went back after reading your comment to recall the text styling options that are part of the tab cycle: you're right, they are annoying.
i am happy about one thing that seems to have been 'fixed' to its better prior behavior and that is tabbing to the 'notebook' dropdown and then selecting one with the arrow down or keyboard first letter. this stopped working for a while but now is nicely working. i do use it often.
also note that you can assign keyboard shortcuts to the 'notebook' option in case there are a couple that you use frequently but for this to work you need to make sure that the options are visible.
if you'd like further explanation of how this is done then let me know and i can give you some more pointers.
