Keep getting "mime is a required value" error
Mac Desktop version can no longer sync. Pops up "mime is a required value" dialog every time it tries to autosync, or when I hit the sync button.

Inappropriate? It also seems to hang up (or the dialog is lost somewhere) sometimes and I have to force quit.

Inappropriate?Just to update I upgraded to the latest Mac version. No change. Still can't do anything.
I’m not getting any satisfaction

Inappropriate? After an email to evernote support the problem was solved by looking at the errors spit out in Console.app, finding the offending note (by GUID), and deleting it online through the web interface (be sure to empty trash).
I’m much happier!

Hi, Would you mind telling me how you using the GUID from the Console to identify a note? Sorry if this ought to be obvious! Jake -
Inappropriate? Thanks for pointing me to Console.app. I noticed that the "offending note"s were those with a ":" in the note title. I posted about it here: http://tinyurl.com/d5ej7n
Do you remember if your "offending note" also had a colon? I strongly suspect that this is the problem. Pb -
Inappropriate?I have just gone back to using evernote again on my mac - but it is next to unusable with this pop-up message keep coming back.
Why has no-one from evernote done something about this?
I have found the items in the console.app - but then what do I do - how do I dentify a note using the GUID?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Grouchal, have you checked (through the web interface, of course) that none of your note titles have colons in them? I know it's tedious, but it worked for me, and the problem has not appeared for over a month.
I agree that Evernote needs to address this. If it is for sure the colon/title/mac filename that creates the error, the mac sync program should account for this and 1. convert the title name before syncing the file or 2. key the sync to something other than the note title.

Inappropriate? There goes that theory. Disappointing. A shame too, because I went from having the pop-ups to not without doing anything else.
Best of luck, and if you learn anything new, please post.

Inappropriate?Agreed. The deskyop version is rendered useless from the constant "mime" message. Removed all colons from titles in Notes. Message still appears.

Inappropriate?I'm getting hammered with the same error message.
Tried removing most recently added notes through web interface. Tried removing colons from note titles too, but the problem persists.
My console is going nuts repeating a single error message, which makes me think that there is one single note causing the problem. But I can't figure out how to identify which note corresponds with this error.
Here is a screenshot of my Console log:

Inappropriate?Just updated to Version 1.4.4. Problem persists. Beginning to wonder if Evernote even monitors these threads.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Zach
After you removed or edited notes using the web interface, did you empty the trash on both the web and the desktop? I was getting a continued problem until I remembered to empty the trash on the desktop version of Evernote.

Inappropriate?Emptying the trash on both the desktop and web version did the trick. It isn't even obvious that there is an Empty trash feature on the desktop version. Took me a few minutes to find it (left sidebar, bottom, click the little gear icon).
Thanks Kevin!
