Tagging when sending notes to Evernote by email: Howto? Syntax?
Can I put tags right into emails somehow so the tags are applied to the note automatically when they arrive in my account?

i think we figured that out by now. any plans for the future though? -
Inappropriate? Are there any plans to introduce this feature? It's something I'd like to see too.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Ahh, I was just looking for the same functionality.
Perhaps in the subject line have in brackets [tag1, tag2, tag3]

I’m looking forward to that feature.

That method sounds ideal! Pleeeease Evernote, consider adding this feature! -
Bump. I might very well consider switching to premium just for this feature (that e.g. Flickr supports in the email uploads!). ... BTW. I'd totally love you if you'd implement this by giving the possibility to add tags by adding +[tag1,tag2] to the end of my email upload address. If you'd have this feature I'd go Evernote-pro in heartbeat. .. The reason I'd _love_ to have the ability to add tags in the email address is that it would enable me to bcc emails (that I'm sending to someone) to EN and add tags without "exposing" my tags to others. .. Wouldn't that be nice? -
Inappropriate?this would be a useful feature as i make much use of email to evernote. i don't think its hard to implement either but a note to users is that you will have to remember what your tags are since you won't be able to look them up when writing the email if you don't have evernote open.
I’m silly

Inappropriate?if you needed to it woul be simple to use Gmails tasks to keep a list of your evernote tags if you had too - so just pop it open quicky and see what they are then close it again.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate? They should definitely add this feature.
-
Inappropriate?Yeah, it looks easy to be done and it would be extremely helpful...
I’m looking forward to it..
-
Inappropriate?Another vote for the feature in the form of a separate reply.
Has the team considered this? Could you kindly reply?
Thanks.

Inappropriate?I use hashtags, similar to how I use Twitter - for example, a GTD thought will have #gtd somewhere in the subject of the email. That way I can still search for what I want.
-
Of course, if Evernote 3 had some kind of smart tags, like Evernote 2 did, we'd be able to have it automatically assign tags based on our own syntax, so we could use something like hashtags to automatically assign an incoming note to a particular tag (searching is great, but I still want to use tags to organise my notes too). Yet another argument for reinstating something like the old auto categories! Saved searches just don't cut it, I don't want some weird little segregated list at the bottom of the sidebar, I want them to work just like normal tags, but allow me to filter notes to particular tags or notebooks.
Auto tagging would potentially solve several problems that users have in one fell swoop, reducing the demand for specific features like this one.
PLEASE EVERNOTE, WE'LL LOVE YOU EVEN MORE IF YOU BRING BACK AUTO TAGS! -
Inappropriate?Remember the milk does this well. I'd be happy with just the ability to choose which notebook it goes into, rather than the default !inbox
