Inappropriate?I am also having this problem. Any idea what is happening. Google does not even link anymore to the .com site.

Inappropriate?PIc Apps now trying to link the picture you are using to their choice of news source..They are taking the Bloggers' means to make cash for themselves....what is up with this Pic Apps...you should be able to make money, but you should have talked to bloggers' first - what you have now hurts people and there is little reason to use your service - your pictures are compromised as revenue adds....will not do for a news source
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hey all,
We indeed had some series IT issues today on our hosting and domain companies.
Our DNS records were damaged thus disconnecting all picapp domains and sub-domains.
Our IT team has lost several years of their expected life term by understanding the problem source and solving it. Actually several hosting company employee lives were saved by the fact that none of our IT team have licenses or knowledge of using any weapons.
We take this issue very seriously and understand the meaning of image un availability on your blogs. I really can't tell you how bad we feel about letting you down. We apologize and hope that you'll give us another chance to prove ourselves.
Garry, about your comment: we don't take your users to a news source. this change was made months ago in which instead of displaying brut ads on the image surface as other companies do, we display a "related images" bar that present dynamic images related to the image subject, clicking it opens a new PicApp page (not override the blog) that displays a gallery of related images thus giving your users a free additional service. we are working to make the experience better and less intrusive.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
I’m frustrated!!!

Inappropriate?Is it now fixed?

Inappropriate?Roi, I don't envy you. You've had to be the messenger with some pretty bad news. This is not the publicity you need on a event like the relaunching of your website.
The fear of all images disappearing with no recourse but patience would strike fear in the heart of any blogger. As someone who wants to leave a good impression with readers, it's scary to think that impression could be lost on every post and I not even be notified except by my upset readers.
I'm sure Picapp will continue to improve, but maybe we could have the images cached for 48hours or something to pretty the inevitable crash from bringing down the usuability of thousands of blogs.
I’m shocked

Inappropriate?Thanks for replying.
We are working on similar caching solutions by improving our current CDN utilities
and checking other cloud based improvements. We'll update on our blog about making progress.
Again, we're sorry and grateful for you guys helping us to do so.
I’m sad
