    Hi Mike,

When you're manually setting the Video Bit Rate for proxy usage, that rate depends on what download speed you can reliably receive from your Internet service provider. All of our accounts come with a standard 2000Kbps upload guarantee from our data center facility. Our proxy network moves it around the world at very fast speeds. But your download speeds will ultimately be decided by the network conditions more local to you.

For example, if you have 2 Mbps download speeds or faster then you should be able to set your video bit rate to 2000kbps and receive that speed.

However, if your ISP tends to get congested during peak hours, you may need to lower the Video Bit Rate during those periods to adjust accordingly.

If your download speeds are 1.5 Mbps, you'll need to try setting the Video Bit Rate to 1,400 Kbps or so and adjust it until you get a good stream.

When your Video Bit Rate is set too high for your download speeds, you'll be able to tell by stuttering audio and video. That's a sign you need to lower your Video Bit Rate.

Please let us know if that answers your question!

    Best,

    Greg
