The red, blue, and yellow buttons don't work my guitar like when i first bought it? Why is this?

on the title wont go online is it the game?

Occasionally, the buttons on my guitar, especially the red fret button, don't work. I'll hold it down, but nothing happens. It seems to come back eventually, but it's frustrating. Or, sometimes I'll hold a note down for a long time, but the note will drop out. Is there any way to reset the device, or is it just faulty buttons?
