Using tabbed conversations, it seems to randomise the placement of windows. Of course, as soon as you open another conversation, it is placed within the same window of the previous under a different tab. I am talking about a window with a single tabbed conversation.
Here's a screenshot to explain it better. Each window has one conversation.
I have tried every suggestion i've found on adium forums and it doesn't solve my problem. The I've changed the port from 5222 to 5050 and it says it is connecting/initializing stream but does not completely connect, staying on 25%.
Does the i'm initiative work with Adium? (Microsoft i'm making a difference) It's when you put a specific code next to your name and every IM donates to charity. I'm wondering if it works if I use my MSN account through Adium?
I get at lot of spam messages on Adium recently. I have heard that the pc-based msn-people can choose to get messages from "only people on my list". I would like that too, because I don't really care if Becky69xyx wants to show he new fake photos to me.
I'm running Adium 1.3 under Leopard. I'm trying to use Adium to connect to a Jabber chat room, but it doesn't want to let me. When I try creating a Jabber account in Adium, I get nothing -- no error, no crash, no nothing. (Note, I do have a valid Jabber account on the server in question -- I can connect to it from iChat.) If I delete all the prefs and plists as per various FAQs, then relaunch, I can create a Jabber account if it's the first thing I do in the "Welcome to Adium" wizard -- but I can't edit it afterwards under Accounts; I click the "Edit" button and nothing happens (no crash, no error message, just nothing). I've also tried this in Adium 1.2.7 (Debug and Normal) (nothing of interest shows up in the debug window).
I was suddenly unable to connect my ICQ account via Adium 1.3.2, getting this message:
"You have been connecting and disconnecting too frequently. Wait ten minutes and try again. If you continue to try, you will need to wait even longer."
I don't have any problems with my other IM accounts.
My boyfriend and I share our computer. I love the idea of Adium BUT we need separate accounts. I know I can do it by selecting which accounts to log in to and then chaging the screen name...BUT is there an easier way? for example with msn you just enter your email and then your password and its yours....any ideas?
How do I get my status to show in the Dock/Contact list window? All of a sudden, it disappeared yesterday. I'm sure it's user error, but I can't see where to correct this. :)
ymail contacts not showing...and if I have more than one IM for a person it shows up as two people...how can you just make it show as one person and then have the icons next to then as to what they are logged into?
My Adium was working perfectly. Suddenly it started to connect and disconnect in a matter of 3 seconds stating that there is a ̈error on notification server: unknown error code 400 ̈. All of the afore with my MSN account. I then proceeded to connect to my yahoo account and it worked perfectly, although I don ́t have any contacts. Followed by this and thinking it was a problem with my MSN account, I downloaded Messenger and worked without a problem. Has anybody experienced the same problem? If so, I could really use some help.
Thanks...Best
I just downloaded adium and I typed in my login correctly for MSN. The program says it logs in to almost 100% but then says, "Error: Unable to authenticate: The e-mail address or password is incorrect." I went onto Microsoft Messenger to make sure my username and password are correct and they are. What's up?
when i try star my Adium i have the upgrade window and then i have a mensage saying that the aplication was closed. so dont run.

I don't have a screen shot, but if i am "idle" my dock icon goes mad with flickering. This didn't happen before I installed the 1.3.1 update. It doesn't seem to cause serious problems, but darn if it isn't kind of annoying.
