installed tweetdeck, which upgraded my adobe air, and now shift-space doesn't work. i've uninstalled both apps, and still has not fixed the problem. i see assorted other similar issues posted online by others, but no way to fix it yet?
Every single time I try to open a PDF it opens but then pretty much straight away a box comes up saying that adobe reader 9 has stopped working and windows will now close it. No explanation in the box as to why this is happening. It also happens when trying to view a PDF on the internet and the whole browser gets closed. Any ideas as to why or what I can do to fix this problem?
I'm losing my mind. I recently updated to flash 10 and now my wordpress media uploader won't work. This is an essential part of my business. How do I downgrade to 9? I love Adobe, but seriously you guys need to fix this, it's been circulating for months.
The blog was setup (http://blogs.adobe.com/pacifica/) more than a month ago and so was this page... but still no actual information! Not what I call getting satisfaction tbh! Any news please?
I have a copy of Adobe CS2 that I no longer need as I'm running CS4 on a new laptop and I've decommissioned the old computer completely.
I've sold my trusty old copy of CS2. One problem: The new owner can't install it until I deactivate my installation. So, I followed the simple directions--it's actually called "Transfer Activation." When my computer communicates with Adobe it gets an error "Error code 93:-1" and I'm told to call a Customer Service person to conclude the matter.
When I call Customer Service they verify all my information against my serial # and then tell me that I must do this:
1. Get the person who now has the product to get an Adobe ID by calling the customer service number.
2. She then will need all my information -- my address, my Adobe ID, full name, phone number (the works - you name it).
3. She will then need to call after establishing the ID and give Adobe her ID, my ID, all of my information, and all of her information.
* at this point I would have imagined that this process -- which is still baffling to me in the year 2008 by a software company -- would be concluded and the software would be licensed to her * I was wrong *
4. Next we'll receive paperwork in which we have to fill out all of her information and my information. We'll both need to sign it and fax it back to Adobe.
5. The Customer Service person said that from that point it would take at least 4 to 6 weeks for the license to be transferred.
And, in the mean time, no, she (the new owner) will not be able to use the software.
Since the I am in AZ and she is in NH, I explained that maybe if since they have verified that I am the person who originally installed the software, and I simply want to deactivate it, that they could deactivate it so she could activate it and continue her graphic design business.
All I want to do is deactivate my software so the happy new owner can install it and get on with her life. Shouldn't this be able to be handled without resorting to fax machines and a two month long process. My bank understands that my account information and password are good enough-why not adobe?
This isn't a new idea, but please produce Creative Suite or at least some applications at a time for the Linux OS, particularly Ubuntu which appears to be growing very fast.
This is an untapped market for Adobe and would mean absolutely explosive growth in support for Linux and Adobe software on the powerful Linux OS.
This would be a big feat, I'm not denying that, but nothing is impossible. Just think of the possibilities.
I'm not quite sure, if the problem is caused by the Adobe Reader or my recent installation of Nuance PDF Professional 5. I use Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP 3 (32bit).
It could also be an issue with the Adobe Reader Plugin in both Firefox 3 and Flock v.1.2.3. Additionally it could be a problem with the "PDF Download" extension (v.1.0.1.2) I use in both browsers. The problem happens both with the "Use PDF Plugin" and the "Use this viewer" (Adobe Reader 9) option. But I doubt its a browser problem, as this error also shows up in Opera and I can't open any PDF in IE7 too, although there is no error message showing up.
Here's the info:
Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium, Design Standard, Web Premium, Web Standard, or Production Premium: upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection is 1,599 USD.
Here's the craziness:
Adobe CS4 Design Premium costs 1,799 USD for the Full Retail Version
Adobe CS4 Master Collection costs 2,499 USD for the Full Retail Version
that's a difference of 700 USD; however, it costs 1,599 USD to upgrade?
am I missing something? and why would Adobe CS4 Web Standard, costing 999 USD, cost the same to upgrade as Design Premium?
As far as I can tell - if you give Adobe more money, then you get a worse deal.
Seriously - can an employee from Adobe explain this insanity? Why wouldn't the upgrade be the difference in cost? And finally, who came up with this pricing plan?
What is with this Licensing has stopped error. I have spent two days trying to get my CS3 Master Collection working again. I have followed the instructions on ADOBEs support site and nothing worked.
doesnt work on some parts of pages in one of my firefox profiles under win vista, i have tried reinstalling the player several times, no luck
for example in my youtube embeded videos in my blog posts it wont work, but in other blogs may work. On other firefox profiles it all works, and also on other browsers.
I'd really, really, really, like for Lightroom to remember when I've told the caption field to check spelling as I'm typing (Mac OS X). This is a system-wide feature that every other program seems to get right. But, Lightroom forgets my settings as soon as I close it. Very frusterating.
It isn't possible in the MAC version to cycle through fonts in case of a selected text with the keyboard (up and down arrows) in Illustrator CS4, just as like in CS3. Thought the problem would be handled as of CS4, because this problem doesn't appear in the same function of Photoshop CS3 and CS4.
Is there any workaround, or a possibility, that this will be handled? Windows users doesn't suffer because of this, which can present a huge problem when designing logos for instance.
I have problems specially moving Photoshop from one space to another, but also if I open a photoshop file and then change to another space... and other difficult to remember situations.
Did Adobe forget completely about testing CS4 with the latest Mac OS X? and with such a "popular" - let's say - feature?
I have access to windows betas. While running Win7 build 6801 I noticed that PDF printer for Acrobat Pro 9 Extended cannot be installed on this version of Windows. Stuff just doesn't work, even on a clean install. Can you verify this?
Cannot locate 'directions.txt' in Dreamweaver Tutoirial 1 in Dreamweaver CS4. All is well up to that #12 in the test drive area adding images and text. I am operating Windows Vista where some searching for your tutorials is necessary.
