Recently active topics in Adobe tagged with acrobat 8

I scan an insurance form into Acrobat 8 with LOTs of fields to fill in.

The typewriter tool would be great, but the font is too large to fit my data into the fields. Can I set a default Font, Color and Size for the typewriter tools? I know I can highlite the text and increase and decrease the size field by field, but that is unacceptable for many fields on many pages.

The Edit | Preferences | doesn't have a way to do this that I can find.

Oh Please, an update, a registry hack (I'm OK with that), anything.
