Apparently, there's a problem with AIR in which clicking on a link will open a new window in Firefox instead of a new tab. This is specifically in reference to Twhirl. Here's a link to the original discussion:
I've been trying to update my Adobe AIR but during the install process I get the "An error has occured." message. I'm running XP and I'm on my admin log in so I'm not sure what to do. I've gone and tried DELETING everything "AIR" related but I still get the "sorry" msg. upon reinstalling AIR. Any clues as to how to get AIR back on my computer in a working fashion?
I've decided to upgrade my year-old version of Fireworks 8 to Fireworks CS 3. Like many of us, I assume I can obtain this in just a sec from Adobe.com.
Not so fast! Apparently Adobe must "review" my order. Review *what*? I will be empowered by Adobe to download my software upgrade after this all-important review, which takes them three hours if I am lucky.
No, really. It's the year 2008, and here's the baloney a digital media company is laying on its online customers:
"We are currently reviewing your order.
You will receive an email within the next three hours confirming your order if you placed your order within North America business hours, Monday through Friday. Outside business hours, you will receive confirmation within the next business day."
Please, Adobe, spend your time "reviewing" this idiotic ordering process instead of my earnest attempt to buy your software.
In Acrobat Pro 8 and 9 The toolbar does not work when properties different documents are open, only works in the first document open. To work with the other documents I have to close the first document open and restart.
I am unable to sign up at your newest service, Acrobat.com. I am using my own domain and have an e-mail address like m@tt.com (just an example). Your sign up form always tells me that I have to write user@domain, which is what I do hundred of times. My domain sure exists as well as my mail address.
Your Tech support was not very nice, after 4 days I got a standard reply that the tech support is not responsible and that I have to contact customer care. I still think it's a technical problem with the form.
Masked Items Pref:
Build in a preference that allows users to turn on/off the ability to click on masked items outside the masked area. Kind of defeats the purpose of a mask if you can still click on the hidden areas.
Masked content bounding box:
When copying out or sizing content that has larger content masked into smaller shapes within my art it bases the bounding box off the hidden masked content. This is a major pain in the neck. It should be based off of just the mask/visible items.
I am trying to update Flash on my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.4.11). The install goes about 2/3 of the way through, then is unable to create 'the file' because 'You do not have the required access privileges.'
I'm the only user, this is my personal laptop. All browsers either came preinstalled or were installed/updated by me. I do not use a separate administrative account. What gives? How do I get Flash updated? The knowledge base article does not address the problem, since there are not any other users on this machine.
I recently had to migrate to Lightroom from RawShooter due to RawShooter no longer being supported and more in particular, RawShooter not being able to read and process XMP in order to extract GPS info.
However, the LightRoom interface is MUCH harder to use than the RawShooter interface due to a lot of the shortcut keys. What was intuitive in RawShooter is now very clumsy in Lightroom. I suggest that Adobe takes a good hard look at what made RawShooter popular in the first place.
For example, Lightroom does not allow output of images to a relative location which should be some simple to do.
My workflow directory structure is as follows
2007/5D/20070801/RAW, POST. etc.
All the RAW files are kept in the RAW directory and output files kept in POST. This keeps things nice and neat.
So please consider adding this in the next release. Thanks much!
