I'm not quite sure, if the problem is caused by the Adobe Reader or my recent installation of Nuance PDF Professional 5. I use Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP 3 (32bit).
It could also be an issue with the Adobe Reader Plugin in both Firefox 3 and Flock v.1.2.3. Additionally it could be a problem with the "PDF Download" extension (v.1.0.1.2) I use in both browsers. The problem happens both with the "Use PDF Plugin" and the "Use this viewer" (Adobe Reader 9) option. But I doubt its a browser problem, as this error also shows up in Opera and I can't open any PDF in IE7 too, although there is no error message showing up.
why is flash WIN 10,0,12,36 freezing up both IE7 and Firefox 3.0.4 and causing my system resources to shoot up to 57-60% for almost 30 seconds. uninstalled it via the adobe flash uninstaller, rebooted, after an hour, its back to freezing!! using Windows XP SP2
