Phosthop CS4 Key + Design Premium Photoshop Install

I am purchasing a standalone copy of Psotoshop CS4. I already have the CS4 Design Premium software, but was wondering:

If I do buy Photoshop CS4, can I install the Photoshop that is on the Design Premium disc and use the Photoshop CS4 key?

Wacom NO Pressure Sensitivity in Illustrator CS4

I have installed CS4 and my Wacom pen sensitivity works well in Photoshop while Illustrator still seems to ignore this. I've read online elsewhere about uninstalling plug ins and re-installing the latest one again - but this hasn't worked. Please help. Thanks.

I'm already wary of going for CS4, and this really isn't helping win me over. Adobe's apps over the years have always been un-OSX-like, and this is makes it seem like the philosophy hasn't changed:
