Adobe should donate Framemaker for Mac to open source
If Adobe foolishly continues to not develop a FrameMaker for Mac OS X, then Adobe should be honorable enough to donate the code to the open source community. If 12000 licenses were sold for $600, that's $7,200,000 -- I cannot believe that Adobe says it can't recoup its investment. Bull.
As much as I don't like government regulation, there should be a law: If you drop your software and there is no reasonable substitute, it gets (a) sold or (b) donated to open-source.
