Flash causes a "referenced memory" error.

For some time now i have been having a problem with my latop, the problem only seems to effect some things. So far firefox, IE, Opera and svchost keep on getting "referenced memory" "read" errors. Now i have done some digging on the web and people come to the conclusion that this is caused by; bad memory or a microsoft update. Now seeing as this is a laptop i dont really want to take it to bits and kill it through my own blundering. This is so far. Tonight i found that if i dont close the boxs with the errors i can still use the net, this is great but i also found that if i went onto a flash site the error comes up. So by turning off the flash plug in it stops. No flash though. I was just wondering if someone had come across this problem already and had a solution, if so i would be extremely grateful.
