I need to downgrade to Flash 9, HELP!
I'm losing my mind. I recently updated to flash 10 and now my wordpress media uploader won't work. This is an essential part of my business. How do I downgrade to 9? I love Adobe, but seriously you guys need to fix this, it's been circulating for months.

Inappropriate?Older versions of Flash Player can be found here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewC...

this solves the problem

ok but this version is ONLY for developpers...i'm a normal user... -
Inappropriate?BTW the change was required due to a security hole in Flash Player, so there is nothing we can "fix". See also info here http://theflashblog.com/?p=463

Inappropriate?Final comment. There is a fix for Wordpress available http://www.bit-101.com/blog/?p=1608 So instead of downgrading Flash Player I would suggest to patch the Wordpress instance.
Good night.

This seems to be for PC, I'm on a Mac, any patches for me? -
Inappropriate?i really just need to downgrade and the older versions are a bit wierd
and dont work right -
Inappropriate? When you downgrade, you will have to uninstall the current version that you have installed using the Flash uninstaller program
-
Inappropriate? The installer for Mac ppc for Flash 9 doesn't work - just gives me two files - a plugin and an .xpt. Where do I put them??

People swear by version 9.47. So here is a link. download and install. this does have an executable file. Be forwarned...if you watch HULU this version will not work. Hulu needs the newest (piece of crap) version 10 to work.
I’m frustrated

For some reason I cannot access the Adobe website. I get a Error on the page. However the above link should give some direction to uninstall and re-install the flash player.
Hope this helps.
cheers! -
Inappropriate?Flash Player 10 broke the flash uploaders for Wordpress and Joomla and probably many others. You would think it would be backward compatible, but it is not.
This site describes in detail how to remove 10 and downgrade to 9. http://web.compulog.com/index.php?opt... -
Inappropriate?I can't upload attachments in Gmail. I would much rather have a security hole with a Flash player that works than one that simply doesn't.
I’m pissed off

Inappropriate?Matthew, try this facebook page where adobe staff is working directly with customers who have long standing problems - they're getting prompt help here: Urging Adobe to improve poor service

Inappropriate?I am trying to divest completely from Macro$#|T. Installed Ubuntu 9.10 and loved it, right up until the part when I tried to use my BlogTV account and Flash freezes my Firefox session. Even after adding the web site exception I still can't touch any of the settings. Seems Adobe broke it in "upgrade" to v10 and apparently has no intention of fixing it. This is why I need to UPGRADE to v9.
Only question that remains is how much Adobe was paid to pull this little stunt?
I’m PISSED OFF!!!
