Inappropriate?I am not sure if someone has already got back to you on this, but the Adobe Media Encoder CS4 (erstwhile Flash Media Encoder CS3) which comes along with Flash Professional CS4 & Premiere Pro CS4 is available on Mac OS X.
-
Inappropriate?OK, looks like there could be a little misunderstanding here :-). I believe what you are looking for is "Flash Media Live Encoder" which allows for online streaming and encoding on the fly.
This is unlike the "Flash Media Encoder" or "Adobe Media Encoder" which is used mainly to convert the "offline" video files to FLV, F4V or to various other available formats.
I am afraid i have little information to share further with you on the "Flash Media LIVE Encoder" and their plans for OS X. -
Sarah, since a long time we got no news about this, would you care to drop this somewhere over the intranet of adobe or bulletin board linking to our topic? Thanks a lot. -
Inappropriate?Hello Sarah, thanks for your answers, I am not sure if I expressed myself wrong, but what I need is this Flash Media LIVE Encoder indeed.
I believe this would be a really important item to address as I have a big list of mac users willing to have this piece in their boxes.
I appreciate you contacting us, you were the only person so far reaching us here. Also there is a blog about this topic with several frustrated users.
Here is the link ->http://www.tink.ws/blog/no-roadmap-fo...
I’m sad, but confident adobe will hear us out....
-
Inappropriate?I will ensure that the word (and the blog) reaches the relevant folks in Adobe. Thanks for your feedback and inputs in providing the directions for Adobe's products.

If only Adobe cared. -
Inappropriate?I woulldn't expect a better reply from Adobe's representatives, many thanks for your efforts.
I’m Enthusiastic

Inappropriate?Hi -
We were ready to setup live streaming for a client - but just found out that the client-side encoder is PC only! This is really hard to believe. So either we lose this job, or Adobe loses a sale. I really would like to stick with Adobe, but the client wants to be able to use any notebook they have... Mac or PC.
Is there really no roadmap to a Mac version?
(please)
I’m bummed
-
Inappropriate?I can't believe Adobe says, "We do not care about OS X users!" How can you guys be like this???
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?wirecast is the only product that will do it.
-
Inappropriate?Hey, care to inform us the link, I will google it, but nice to know that there is some sort of solution...or workaround...as at least the adobe flash media encoder for windows is a free piece, not sure if wirecast is free..thanks anyway.
I’m working as an ant
-
Inappropriate?I wish it was free but it does rock over the free windows FME 3 by adobe.. I wish I could afford the product myself :(

I’m poor

Inappropriate?Very nice, many thanks for your input. Let's hope that if Adobe wishes, it can release it free or if willing to charge, to charge an affortable price for all bloggers and interested internet broadcasters. music and movie producers. Adobe, please be heard...
I’m politely shouting to Adobe, so they can hear us :D
