Why did Adobe drop the easy interaction of Quicktime in Flash CS4?

In CS3 I could easily import a QT onto my timeline. During importing I could select the frames I wanted out of the QT and that would appear on a layer in Flash. Then I could teach about rotoscoping to my students at 3 different colleges and to young users. Now it's cumbersome and YOU HAVE TO USE THE STUPID MEDIA ENCODER. In a classroom situations we have limited time so to add yet another adobe apps is crazymaking! Which bonehead at Adobe made this decision? Not everyone who uses Flash is a web designer nor are they a wanna be techie or programmer. Stop killing this cool program for us animators!!
Fix this please!
Or I will be forced to use Toon Boom and drop Flash all together along with my 3 schools and 2 summer camps. Just like I use to use Premiere for all my animatics and in games until Adobe dropped its use with macs because of their spat with Apple and their Final Cut. now I use Final Cut or Flash or iMOvie.
Adobe - try polling different users to get feedback.
