FREE Game Resets

yes , 100% in favor , if we paid for the app we should be able to reset it for free , all the other mob games have hooked on to this idea

It is, imho. I understand resetting zen points cost money and all (although I find that it should have been free for a few days considering the changes, and that it isn't very well implemented -- eg. you cannot for example easily free all ZP spend on HP and redistribute them), but a complete reset should be a free feature imho.

If you actually reset your account, you do that basically because you want to relive the game experience (for whatever reasons), which means you'll probably spend on LP too. If you can't reset, or won't because you have to pay, you'll delete the game and stop...

I agree 100% it should be free. The fact that we should get charged for resetting something we have already purchased is insane. Resets definately should be free. This is the only rpg game I've ever seen in my life that makes you pay to reset. Not only that, but you have to pay 3x the amount you originally bought the game for. That's rediculous. Anyone should be able to restart their account and try a different strategy if they want. It's bad enough to lose all of the progress you've made in order to try something out. Just put a limit on it like one reset every 12 or 24 hours.

I agree with everyone's opinions. I recommend that aftershock takes a look at this thread. Also, everyone click i like this idea!

I've got to agree with this. I haven't considered it before as I've had no interest in restarting, but charging money to restart a game we've already paid for is downright unethical.

I agree with the unethical part. Maybe someone should check the laws of business ethics. For all we know, there could be something we can sue them for on this issue. It seems like nothing else will bring their attention to our wants/concerns. Let's use an example like this:

Assume you go into a grocery store and buy a loaf of bread for $3. You eat your bread and you enjoy it, but you want another loaf of bread. The next time you go back to the grocery store, you bring the loaf of bread to the checkout, and the cashier says, "that'll be $10". Basically, you're PENALIZING your RETURN CUSTOMERS. For christ's sake, what the hell is the harm in letting people reset their games.

I would reset in less than 12 hours if I messed something up early on. Honestly, I don't think their should be a limit at all on it, but aftershock seems like they want to regulate every little tiny thing, I felt like it was a good compromise.

No I don't honestly want to sue aftershock. I'm just saying it's fucked up to charge $10 for something that costs $3 and they deserve to be sued. Whoever thought of charging $10 for a reset deserves to have their #+%* chopped off too.

seriouslt $9 for a freakin game reset.... ?????? we only paid $3-1 for the game!!! so, really, what your asking us is this: to reset your game you have to buy out game 3 more time..or 9 more times (if u bought it for $1)

Yeah, hopefully they implement the FREE Reset thing. I have no intentions on resetting however other people may.

The real question is why the God Father offers no explanation of why he charges to do this. I know its for profit, but if anything, a player should only have to repurchase the game again - not pay a ransom to the God Father.

I said it before and I'll say it again - I think Aftershock is screwing its base of loyal customers and if they need to make more money, simply charge for upgraded versions of the software - don't allow people to cheat, reset or call in favors becuse they have money in their wallets. That isn't good business, its just down right being an extortionist to the customers that trusted you that you'd run a "fair" operation.

Since Loyalty points have been instituted, this game has become as "Fair" as you can afford it to be.

I agree with being able to reset for free. But what Aftershock should do is to allow you to pay for multiple accounts. I would love to replay this from the start, but don't want to get rid of my current level 69 account. I don't see why Aftershock wouldn't want to do this as this would be easy money for them. In fact, if this option were available, I think I would immediately open two more accounts for the other two classes. I think that would be a much better solution than making people pay for resetting.

If you think that the company should implement this idea, click the like this idea at the top of the thread please.. This way aftershock will notice it and do something about it.

Aftershock can put Free game resets as a limited time option once a while(every 1st week of each month?) or a reward after some special job / level /event people reach.

But don't make it free reset all time. Too many reset game players is unfair for the brand new player, especially some reset game players have web interface availible.

Afterall, you only need one reset -- or 2 reset if you are dummy enough, what is the point give people reset game 50 times for free?

As expected- it has been pretty unanimous that users want a free reset-- I'll let the dev dept know!

What happens if you delete the app and then re-install it?? Can you start over than, or does it just come back like it was?

You can delete the app-- but then you have to re purchase it-- either way you are paying for it...

Um, if you delete an iphone app, and redownload it, it is defenetly free.. it will say "you have already purcahsed the application do you want to download it for free"

No. Pretty much you have to pay to start over. I think they plan on implementing this idea in the next update.. Not sure

Its sux... any apps for example iMob have free reset included free download!!! and they have got comments etc but mafia live is better, its looks better, and works better... but i ask again why i cant reset this game for free?

2. pay for reset
3. pay for death shit (i hope aftershock dont do it)
