MafiaLive Lives on In Memory of the JDizzle family
Dear Fellow players,
It has come to my attention that JDizzle(Jason Dungan) was killed in a car accident last thursday leaving behind his wife and daughter of 2 weeks. A memorial fund has been setup for JD's family, which I believe could use any help available under these trying times.
As a fellow competitor and friend within the game and outside of the game via email correspondences, I would like to say that JD was a pain in the A** within the game but his relentless energy and enthusiasm kept many top players both awake at night and on top of their game. Anyone with ideas as to what might be done to help out may post their ideas or condolences.
I would hope that this thread becomes a sticky or bumped often enough to remain in sight.
Some ideas:
1) AS may contribute a portion of LP purchases to the fund in honor of most likely the most enthusiastic player and someone who started the LP buying frenzy for them.
2) We may sell JDizzles account to someone as it is fully equipped and has income close to 2 Billion/50 min or better yet....
3) We may sell off mafia cash to those families willing to contribute to the memorial fund (similar to Mr. Moo's thread selling of cash, only this is for a good cause).
4) Perhaps, some top players in UL may also be willing to sell of cash in honor of a contribution.
5) AS could have a direct link somewhere to information on contributing to the Memorial Funds
Note: I currently have access along with a fellow player to JD's mafia live account and so we would be able to handle to following transactions if necessary.

Please note: I called US bank customer service and was told i need to go to a branch to find out information on contributing to Memorial funds. If someone could please help out with getting an online access or any detailed information on either fund, please email me at ajwu888@gmail.com and i will try to correlate the information. In the meantime, i will look myself, but i just wanted to get this posted since news was spread before i was ready.

This is Shauna, JDIZZLE's wife. I'm so happy and thankful to know that there is a world of amazing people who are willing to help out even though they themselves don't have much.
Jason was an amazing father. Hailey Rose, our daughter, was only 16 days old. It's so hard to know that as a 21 year old, I will be raising my daughter knowing that her daddy was taken way too soon.
Jason made a lot of friends on this game, and loved to play it. He even got me addicted to this game. He was always talking about the posts that were made, and how everyone seemed to hate his attacks, yet love him and his smartass comments about "raping" you in the middle of the night.
Jason is my best friend and it's weird about how he left. It's so surreal right now. We don't know exactly what happened, but I will let everyone know as soon as I know. It may be about 5 more weeks before everything is in and we have answers. The person he hit in the accident has a severely hurt foot. He will be ok, but may have to have his foot amputated. An off-duty officer was also hurt trying to pull Jason from the fire. Please keep them in your prayers.
I miss him dearly and I know he would be so thankful for all of your love, support, and help. I know that I will always be thankful for what all of you are doing. Please keep praying for our family, and the others involved.

Hi all,
It is nice to know that there is a sense of community and family within the game itself. I recognize many of the people in this thread who knew JD by way of the love tap, tap, tap, tap.... What really stands out is that there are so many others who can relate or feel compassion and sympathy for someone that they never really got to know well. That being said, i'm still working on getting details for the funds, but Iconograf has already helped with getting some initial information(see below):

Everyone should read this thread and realize in the end, that Mafia Live is just a game, and there are people with lives behind the screen name. Having three small children myself, I feel his wife's pain and the void that his loss will create for not only his wife but his child as well

Reading the obituary made me tear up a little. Obviously, I never knew him well at all. But, he seemed to be really good human being.
Having a baby explains why he was up at late hours killing me. I kinda wish I didnt give him a hard time for taking money from players like wu, I think we all would of done the same thing.
Anyway, its always sad too lose anybody. This is chilling, and makes me feel all to human.
Crazywu, if you want you can sell my account, and put all proceeds to his fund. I am struggling financial is this economy, and making rent is even a challenge. I have had many offers on it, but I think if you helped handle it we could get at least $60+ for it im sure.

Thank you for your generosity KL. I'm sure Jason would be touched by your kindness. I probably could sell the account, but it might be difficult should there be other families that wish to do so as well. I think it best that you take care of yourself first, and if you are able to sell the account, donate what you can to the memorial funds in his honor. I just found out today, so i still need time to find out what the best way to help might be. We have a lot good players here, so i'm hoping we get a good strategy.

I feel very bad for his family.
One week ago I was very lucky with a city train.
I was on my bike and did not see the train coming. with a HUGE luck I braked and so the back tire of my bike went up and throw me to the ground. after I hit the ground I bounced up and hit the side of the train. If I did not bounced on the ground I wouldn't be here probably. I had a lot of luck with that accident of me but Jason didn't and I feel really sorry for his family -

Inappropriate?I am proud to say that I donated my entire bankroll to JDizzle at least 3 times and my body collector had to pay him some visits. He was indeed an elite player and I am sad to not have him in the game anymore. Its very telling to see that a player at the level of CrazyWu who is well known in the leaderboards to be a friend with Dizzle. I think it speaks volumes about just how much Dizzle meant to the game. I am sad to hear about his family and they have my prayers. Maybe I will sleep well tonight and not bank my money in honor of Dizzle whom with I always donated my bank roll to even if I slept with one eye open :oP

The crazywu family is selling validation for $5 a pop, feel free to take your best shot...I'm willing to fight in my skivvies for a good cause. I feel Jason would appreciate my gesture. JDizzle brought energy and excitement into this game just like the fighting algorithm thread brought friendship and interest to a game that was lacking an in-game chat.

Jason was a great guy and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, even those of us who only knew him through the game, the boards and email. It is a tremendous tragedy that he has died so soon after the birth of his daughter, and my heart goes out to his family.

My friends in ML came about 1 of 3 ways for the most part.
1) They were my cash cows during the height of my power which lead to relentless attacks which in turn made them the beneficiaries of some funds during my first retirement.
2) They were the ones that annoyed me to no end as I hated to bank
3) They were a part of the fighting algorithm thread which added a lot of fun to the game that was otherwise lacking comraderie
JD happened to be the rare individual that satisfied all 3 items. As such, i got to know him via many emails. Mobdropper, i'm sure has similar stories to tell. I found out about the tragedy via JD's coworker who knew of my account and email since i'm sure JD in his enthusiasm mentioned our partnership of sorts whereby i would help him play a little if he was too busy with work or his kids. -

I have been so pre-occupied with work that it didnt dawn on me that i havent received an email or text from him... i am truly at a loss for words. Inappropriate?Truly heartbreaking, my prayers go out to the Dungan family. I have never talked with JDizzle but I loved to read his posts and comments. We did have a relationship through fighting in Mafia live where I would attack him, and one second later he would attack me right back. He never spammed me just gave me love taps here and there to let me know he could take me when ever he wanted. His presence in the game and on this forum is truly missed. -
Inappropriate?This is a terrible tragedy. I know first hand how hard it can be to lose a close loved one. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dungan family. Though of course I did not know Jason in person, his enthusiasm and vitality will be sorely missed. I'm so sorry for his family and loved ones. It really makes you realize how trivial this silly game is. After reading the obituary and this thread, I called my parents and closest relatives just to tell everyone that I love them and how important family really is. I'm truly sorry to hear about JD and he will be dearly missed.

Being the mother of a 4 yr old little girl myself my heart breaks for his wife and his precious baby girl. That obit made me cry :( I will definitely be donating to the fund and keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers. This makes me not even want to play right now. There really is a good group of players in this game. It's true we often forget that there are "real" people behind the screen names of the game and we all have real lives and problems. @Moon Princess. Less than a month ago Jason announced the birth of his daughter and we were talking on the boards about how much having a baby changes your life in ways that you can never imagine beforehand. He really loved his little girl. I have a 17-month old son and he has completely changed my view of the world and I cannot imagine not being in his life. As you say, there are real people behind all the players here, and many have families and children. This is so very sad for his wife and baby and my heart goes out to them.

I have setup an ebay account to offer mafia cash for sale with a good cause. I hardly ever use ebay but created it since there were a few requests. Of course, all proceeds will go to the Dungan family but i think since there are sales fees its still best to have direct payments go to the address listed below.
Not sure if the fees for paypal transfers are cheaper than selling on ebay, if so that is an option
Note: should there be offers from lower level players, i may need some lower level families to help in the transfer. Cash we have a plenty, its just help in the transactions.

Jason was a very close friend of mine, and the words the group of you are saying in his honor, after not ever really knowing him is heartfelt and compassionate, he lived for this game, it was all he ever talked about besides his newborn daughter. To read your messages and condolences to his family brings a tear to my eye and goosebumps on my skin. Please do whatever possible to help out JD's family in whatever way you can, he will be sorely missed and this world lost a real treasure. I'm not working either :( But please give what you can on the honor system, then give me your mafia family name, and i will see if i can find a way to transfer you some cash. I believe that it is quite possible that i can find someone who has restarted and now makes a lot of cash or i might end up liquidating equipment on some accounts to allow for you to win some in an attack (note: Even if i liquidate all equipment on my crazywu family account per se, you still need to have a decent equip for a level 22 perhaps to break through.

Inappropriate?Wow- this does make things a lot more "real". A terrible tragedy. RIP Jason- you were just getting started in life and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. This really hits home especially since I travel through Spokane Valley frequently for business. I will see it differently now. I will also stop playing this stupid game when I am driving.
I would like to make a contribution. Buying the account is interesting, but I don't have time to manage two accounts and it would not serve Jason's memory appropriately. A check for $50 is going out today.
When I first got into this game, I was convinced it was a bunch of teens with too much time on their hands until I started interacting with this forum. I was very pleased to see that there are a lot of great people involved with this game and this confirms it.

I just gave him my web log in. If you sell your account you would only be able to give them that and you would not be able to play anymore. if you reset your account it will reset theirs too.

Jason was my boss my friend and an amazing person! My heart goes out to Shauna and Little Hayliegh Rose ,all of Jason's family and his best friend Casey. He always talked about all of them at work. I watched him hold his little girl just a little over a week ago when Shauna brought him by the dealership. He was so proud of her and Shauna.
We will miss Jason so much.
I ask anybody who has the means to help to please donate anything you can to help Shauna and her precious little girl. There are a couple trust funds set up I think one is at Numerica I'm not sure of the other?" -

As far as maximizing an auction for JD, I think using Moo's idea has the best merit. It seems that your eBay auction got removed or may just be very difficult to find.
Pay Pay doesn't take a percentage as long as people use their checking account/savings account that is attached to their Pay Pal account. If they use a credit card, then Pay Pay takes around 3%. With Pay Pal you would be able to keep the money in the Pay Pal account and then withdraw it all at once for one large donation.
In the end, having people send Pay Pal money to an account and keeping track so that they can arrange to get the Mafia dollars would be a great idea. Maybe even come up with a tiered system - for every $10 (20, 50, etc.) dollars you get X Mafia dollars.
What happened to JD is truly horrific. I think what you have done is very noble. We all spend a lot of time sniping at each other out here in one way or another, and it is good to see the real humanity behind the personalities out here. While I didn't know JD at all except for his ML family name, I certainly will make a direct donation as well as probably buy some cash.

I don't know if phone/pda usage had anything to do with the accident but this is a good time for us all to consider the dangers of using a phone/pda while driving. @Chevyboi, I have read it. I don't know anyone on this game in real life. I have run several guilds in MMORPGs over the past 12 years or more. I have had 2 people on different occasions pull off very elaborate hoax in the past to take advantage of ppls emotion and sympathy. Its a sick twisted world with many that will practice social engineering to get ahead.
Like I said. I hope its not a hoax but I will never be 100% sure of that thanx to assholes in the past.
I do pray for the peace of those involved in that car crash and to them goes my sympathies. -

I was traveling all day yesterday and hadn't checked the boards yet.
It makes me feel good about mankind to see so many other people who had the exact same reaction I did when reading this story. As much as we might trashtalk each other about our wins and losses in this game, when it comes down to it, family is the most important thing to all of us.
I will be making a contribution to the fund on Monday. And I will probably "contribute" some Mafia money to the JDizzle account via poorly planned attacks just to help out the potential sale.

This is Shauna, JDIZZLE's wife. I'm so happy and thankful to know that there is a world of amazing people who are willing to help out even though they themselves don't have much.
Jason was an amazing father. Hailey Rose, our daughter, was only 16 days old. It's so hard to know that as a 21 year old, I will be raising my daughter knowing that her daddy was taken way too soon.
Jason made a lot of friends on this game, and loved to play it. He even got me addicted to this game. He was always talking about the posts that were made, and how everyone seemed to hate his attacks, yet love him and his smartass comments about "raping" you in the middle of the night.
Jason is my best friend and it's weird about how he left. It's so surreal right now. We don't know exactly what happened, but I will let everyone know as soon as I know. It may be about 5 more weeks before everything is in and we have answers. The person he hit in the accident has a severely hurt foot. He will be ok, but may have to have his foot amputated. An off-duty officer was also hurt trying to pull Jason from the fire. Please keep them in your prayers.
I miss him dearly and I know he would be so thankful for all of your love, support, and help. I know that I will always be thankful for what all of you are doing. Please keep praying for our family, and the others involved.

I can't say that I knew JD thru the game but he was obviously a very influential and respected individual in the ML community. My prayers are with him and especially with his wife and new born baby girl. Give your sorrow to God and he will see you through.

Just today, and i was just on the way to the AS WebSite to report a Bug, i saw the Message about JD. Well, i have to say that this Post touched me in many ways. I am a father of two myself. Our daughter is 5 yrs old and our son is 6 yrs old. It makes me sad that a truly loved person leaves to go home long before we think it's the right time. The second reason is, and you all might know a feeling like this, but you know, i am a German American. My Mom is German, my Dad is American from North Dakota. My Wife and I decided about 5 yrs ago to fly to the US and find out where my relatives live. We ended up buying a Holiday home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. (20 mins from Spokane). We travel back and forth twice a year. And the worst thing is, i even know the dealership JD used to work for in the valley. But that is just earthy stuff.
Our prayers are with Shauna and Hailey. May God bless you, an never forget that he does care about you. ... And he will raise you up on eagles wings....
