Install not working
having a problem with the install. I downloaded the extension but it didn't ask for my invite code and isn't showing up on GReader. Did I miss a step?

Inappropriate?Yep. Looking at the little smiling monkey in my toolbar right now.
-
Inappropriate?Yeah, I'm having the same problem.

Inappropriate? It's maybe worth mentioning that when I first downloaded it, my computer didn't recognize the extension so I had to explicitly point it toward Firefox.

Inappropriate?I disabled Greasemonkey but am still having problems entering the activation code or getting the aide rss extension to work. Am I doing something wrong?
-
Inappropriate?Did you disable greasemonkey by clicking on the face / through the settings - or did you disable the extension in the Firefox add-ons panel?
I’m looking for clarification
-
Inappropriate?Ok, I got it to work. I think people may be trying to enter the activation code via the add-on panel...
To get this to work, turn off Greasemonkey via the add-on panel and then actually visit Google Reader, where you will be prompted to enter your invite code at that time. :) -
Inappropriate?Sorry about that. I think we've fixed that issue now. Thanks for the heads-up !
-
Inappropriate?Okay, so I turned off greasemonkey, entered the activation code, and all appeared well. Now I've turned greasemonkey back on, restarted Firefox and nothing's showing up in GReader.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? So reading back through this - I should disable Greasemonkey entirely while using the extension?
-
Inappropriate?Yes, that is the unfortunate case just now. We are actively working to correct this misfeature.
-
Inappropriate?Does this work on Firefox 3 Beta version? I don't have greasemonkey installed, but when I navigate to google reader it doesn't seem to ask for my activation code. And nothing seems to work
-
Inappropriate?Users have reported this working on Firefox 3 - but it has not been officially tested there.

Inappropriate?I have the same problem: installed AideRSS, restarted Firefox 2.x, restarted GReader and nothing happens.
Of course I have several add-ons but no Greasemonkey. -
Inappropriate? Are you accessing Google Reader by going to <http://reader.google.com> or some other endpoint?
There was a bug with some other endpoints that should be fixed in the very-newest (as of 2 minutes ago) version. -
Inappropriate? As normal, I access Google Reader directly via the navigation toolbar of FFox. I just re-installed and restarted FFox. Same negative results.
Thank you for your support. -
Inappropriate?Just wanted to add that I am using FF 2.0.0.13 and don't have Greasemonkey installed and the extension isn't working -- I reinstalled it hoping there was a new version, but when I go to Google Reader nothing happens and there's no AideRSS post-rank number beside the star. I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 if that helps.
-
Inappropriate?Matthew, ping me (ilya _at_ aiderss.com) with your email and I'll send you the new Greasemonkey script.
We're working on a fix for the xpi. -
Inappropriate?samething here!
I also tried the GreaseMonkey script, but I have no idea how toinstall it ...
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I just realized that the GreaseMonkey IS working ... but for some few feeds, not for all
Apparently, only popular blogs' feeds show it ...
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Barthox, even if we didn't have a feed indexed the fist time you opened it, next time you come back, it should be in our system.
Are you seeing PostRank's of 1.0? And if so, what are the URLs of some of the feeds you're seeing this behavior for?

Inappropriate?it does seem to be working better indeed!
Thanks for the reply!
But the 'All Items' view does not seem to be using it. Is it normal?
I’m undecided
-
Inappropriate?Yup, that's expected behavior. Having said that, it's on top of our list in terms of 'next feature to enable'. :)
