ideas: change notifications and hidden calendar item details
I've already shared these ideas via email, but as long as this site is here, I'll add them here:
1) provide ability for me to be notified when someone adds/changes content in a group area (and let me decide whether I want a daily summary or a notification with each change).
2) Let me specify for a group calendar that my calendar items should only display the fact that my time is blocked out - not the details.

Inappropriate?I've been making this suggestion for a long time. It is great to have the calendar with its sync possibilities, etc. But what happens when a new date gets entered? How does the group know it has happened? I would like to be able to toggle a switch to receive an email (either for each single event or a daily summary) containing:
a) new events and
b) changes in timing or deletion of events for which I have already signed up.
My group would swallow that lock, stock and barrel! -
Inappropriate?Notifications are definitely in our plans for a future release of AirSet - we agree it would be a great addition !

Inappropriate? On hiding the details and just showing that the time is blocked out, you can do this now by placing the event on your Personal calendar and then sharing it to the group by clicking on the "Share" tab in the edit event dialog. This will show a list of your groups can below the list is a "Hide details" Checkbox. On the groups that you check, they only see the time and "Busy" message (which you can customize).

Yeah, you can do that manually, but I want it to be automatic when I add an event in my Outlook calendar and then Airset syncs Outlook with the web site. -
Inappropriate?Brian, you can do this from any group to any other group, can't you? If I click on an event in my Football Team calendar and click on the Share tab it gives me the option of sharing it with my other groups and declaring it private in the way you outline above.
I’m happy I think I know something!

Inappropriate?I know it is not an email notification, but you can turn on RSS feeds for activity in a group. I use this with Firefox live bookmarks to get a quick check of what is going on.

'Splain me how ta do dis RSS feed thingy. -
That is very cool! Thanks for pointing that out. This leads to another request - it would be nice to have a single RSS feed for everything in a group, rather than having to subscribe to a feed for the activity log, another for the calendar, ... -
I just realized - I can get updates via RSS without having to provide authentication. So this isn't a solution as I had previously thought. I don't want to allow unauthenticated access to my group's activities. So I'm back to needing email notifications.
Also - just to make sure - with RSS publishing turned off, is the information in Airset secure? I mean, other than by obscuring url's? -
Inappropriate?@ Owen, you are right. You can share an event from any of your groups to any of your other groups.

You are correct. The only drawback I see to this feature is that if you are viewing an event from a scripted calendar in a web page, when you click on it you are directed to the general AirSet directory. This could be frustrating for people that are unfamiliar with AirSet--they'll think it is broken. It should have a window that says details for that event are not available, like it does when you are within the AirSet calendar.
Also, there is an even way cooler feature for making events truly private. You can mark it as private via the check box in the event window and only those people marked as participants will be able to view the event. The non-participants won't even know it is there.
It's like automagical!
I’m happy
