Is there an easy way of dealing with duplicate contacts?
I've used AirSet with Desktop Sync (for Outlook) and with AirSet Mobile for a number of years now. After years of syncing back and forth I've got a lot of duplicate contacts, for whatever reason. Is there any easy way of cleaning them up via the website or elsewhere?
Thanks. Love the service.

I don't know of an easy way to delete duplicate contacts. Outlook discusses this in the help section. Search for "Duplicate Contacts" to find the articles dealing with this problem in Outlook.
In AirSet, you can search by any part of a company name or contact name. This means that if you search for "erica," anyone with the letters e-r-i-c-a, in that order, in their first or last name, or with those letters in the company name, will be displayed. So, Erica Doe will be displayed as would John Doe that works at AmERICAn Express. Once you have the duplicates displayed you can delete the duplicate contact.
A better solution might be to merge your duplicate contacts in AirSet. Go to Contacts and then to List View. Select two duplicate contacts to merge and click on merge. You will be given options about what information to keep.
All of these options are manual, so if you have many duplicates it is gonna take a while.

Inappropriate?Scratch the merge function. It looks like it was a victim of the update.

Inappropriate?Hi nbr,
Also, when you perform a Sync, you might try going to "Sources..." under the "Calendar" option in the Action Menu -- if there are duplicates as a result of the Sync, often you can delete them there under the "Desktop Synchronization" header.
I’m hoping this helps
