What's with the insufficient packing material?
Oh Amazon, you used to do books so well. Other online retailers shipped books loose in boxes, but you nestled them inside plastic shrinkwrap against a piece of cardboard, ensuring they arrived in good condition. You don't do that so much anymore. Today, for instance, I opened a package to find two books dinged and creased to hell and back by a Bundt pan. If I wanted books in used condition, I'd go to a used bookstore and pay a lot less for them. Please do a better job packing books; after all, they are your bread and butter.

Inappropriate?I guess it depends on the product. My friend just bought a laptop and it had, if possible, TOO much packing material. At least, overly excessive amounts. Still, they obviously didn't make the same effort to keep your book from getting damaged -- sorry to hear it. Wasn't aware they packaged books alongside other merchandise, either (instead of in separate packaging).
I’m sorry for your loss

Inappropriate?i think so too, stuff used to arrive in brand new condition (boxes were stuff with air bags, shrinks wrapped to a piece of hard cardboard), but received mine like a used book, when amazon used to use so much packing materials to ensure things arrive in perfect conditions, people complains. now with so little stuff to protect our items, things came out like crap. what a disgrace.
I’m pissed
