Why is AA.COM slow today?
Every article today seems to be very slow--I'm getting a message from IE about a script running--is this an annarbor.com issue? Other websites seem fine.

Inappropriate?Everything seems to be fine. What pages are you seeing this on?

Inappropriate?I cant see any problems. I'll ask people around the office to take a look at it as well.

Inappropriate?Ruth - are you still seeing this problem?
The error message you were getting is a sign that some javascript running on the page was having a hard time completing because it took too long. It's possible that there was something else going on on your computer that would explain this; it's also possible that there was a bug on our side that generated something that didn't complete.
One additional possibility is some embedded media (photo, video) slow to load.
Next time if it happens the exact page would help and the exact text of the error message.
I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?Ed--are you talking about the other thing, with what happens after you have put in a comment? I think that has happened almost every time, both with firefox and IE. If you're talking about slowness, no that is not happening (but it's not an error message either so I'm not sure how I would take a picture of it).

To take a picture of a screen on a mac it's "command shift 3" or "command shift 4"; 3 gives you a full screen, 4 gives you a selection.
Here's a short tutorial on screen capture on Windows:
