Sound no longer works on my Apple TV
I have my Apple TV connected to my Yamaha receiver through the optical port. It was working fine until yesterday, when the audio suddenly stopped working. I've checked the connections, and I don't remember changing any settings.
The display on my receiver still indicates that I have a digital audio connection, but there is no sound.
I also tried my DVD player to confirm that it wasn't the receiver, and the audio on that works fine. -

Watch, record and timeshift on Apple TV
It would be great if Apple TV could just "watch tv", record things and timeshift shows, like in Media Center. Does Apple haves a project like that? -

If you buy a tv show on the apple tv, without using iTunes to make the purchase, how do you then delete the show? the show is not in iTunes, it's only on the Apple TV. There's no delete option. -

Can I move shows purchased on my Apple TV to my Mac? Last reply on May 14, 2008 20:16.
I purchased a season of a TV show directly on my Apple TV, now I can't seem to watch them on any of my Mac's or worse - I can't sync them to an iPod/iPhone. Any idea of how to sort this out? -

Apple TV or New Mac Mini Last reply on April 22, 2008 21:43.
I've finally kicked my old ... very old used up Mac Mini to the streets (sad to see it go) it has been good to me.
But now I'm moving to a new apt and still need a new player, i'm not sure if Apple TV is a better Choice.
As i don't watch that much tv (have a dvd player for dvds) but i do like to watch shows from p2p and online services like joost/hulu etc sometimes buy shows like project runway at itunes store.
for what I've read Apple TV doesn't have a browser? so i can't install Joost or logon to Hulu? then what about Itune shows , how does that work?
Need some advice
Thanks. -

AppleTV does not access full YouTube favorites list Last reply on December 11, 2007 12:37.
My AppleTV only pulls about 10 of the videos out of my YouTube favorites. What's the deal? Very painful when trying to show friends YouTube videos on the home TV. -

Why does my Apple TV keep turning on? Last reply on April 14, 2008 05:36.
Since Apple TV tends to get really hot, I make sure I turn it off after use. Yet for some reason, it keeps turning itself back on. I don't use the remote (or any apple remote) by it, so know that I'm not unintentionally doing it myself, but wondered if there is a setting or something I need to change so this stops happening. -

This is interesting. Creating gadgetry that updates and extends with new software based features. Far from unheard of, but Wired distills the trends progress in a compelling way. -
