I don't know what happened. I was working in iPhoto when I ran out of power. Put the power cable on, restarted and all my photos were gone, as well as albums etc.
In Finder I can still see them, but I can not reimport them to the library- I get the message "Unreadable files: The following file could not be imported. (The file is in the iPhoto Library folder). Does anyone know what happened and how I can get them back? They're not in the trash, either.
I want to purchase a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4K 8.1MP Digital Camera with 10x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. I am running Leopard on a MacBook and currently using iPhoto 6. (Just haven't gotten around to upgrading to iPhoto 08.) Will my mac and lumix work well together? Flawlessly?
The time displays in iPhoto show the correct 12-hour time in the information panes, but the AM/PM indicators are missing. For example, the time of a photo taken at 2:34:04 PM is displayed as "2:32:04," with no PM indicator.. A screen shot is here.
Only my account is affected. IPhoto running under other accounts on the same machine can look at the same photos with no problem.
I have tried trashing the prefs, reinstalling iPhoto, cleaning the caches, creating an new iPhoto library, posting the problem to Apple's iPhoto support discussion group, and consulting the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store. None of these measures has solved the problem.
I've got a small series of photos that I can see in the thumbnail view but won't render in an expanded view. And when I try to upload them to Flickr I get an error saying they're 0 file size. Here's a Skitch of what I'm seeing in iPhoto. What does that symbol mean with the grey box and exclamation point?
The photos taken before this series and after on the same camera are working fine.
