Recently active problems in Apple about iTunes

I applied for iTunes Store account. Put in my details and all. Then I get the message about the e-mail sent to me to verify the account. Well... I'm waiting 3 days now.

I tried resending the verification mail several times to different accounts. I checked my spam folders in all of the accounts and nothing.

I tried to update to 2.0 on my Edge iPhone, but it freaked out at the end of the update and threw up an error. So now the iPhone is bricked. Fine.

Then it told me I needed to restore the iPhone from a backup, by first restoring the software. So, fine. Except that it won't let me! The error message is superlame: "The iPhone 'iPhone' cannot be restored." Superbricked!



I tried switching to my other Mac to restore the iPhone from the 1.1.4 software, instead of 2.0, but no luck there.

Is there anything I can do, besides just taking it in to the Genius Bar for a replacement? Also, why does Apple hate me?

my iPod is all locked up. i bought the 2.0 software update and tried to restore my iPod touch. it got all the way to the end then said error 1604. i tried restarting my computer twice and now my iPod doesn't even show up in iTunes. i also tried re-downloading iTunes and it still won't show up. when i unplugged it all i got was a connect to iTunes pic. i looked for it under my computer and it isn't there either. i'm so mad because i've spent the last four hours trying different things. can anybody help?

I had to reinstall itunes 7 on my macbook... I can play my purchased music on my computer while using the itunes program... But I have put together some video projects using some of my itunes music in the background... and now when i try to play my video's i am told "this computer is not authorized to play this song..." I authorize, re-authorize, and re-authorize again, and it makes no difference. It won't play it... I'm putting together some new clips recently, and I'm not able to use any of the music that I purchased before the re-install... Every time It tells me to authorize, i put in my email addy and password and it says it works, but it doesn't... I am really worried and frustrated... I spent a lot of money on that music collection for it to just sit there and be useless...

I've tried from multiple computers in multiple locations using various versions of iTunes (Mac and PC).

I've been in touch with iTunes support (level 1 and 2) and they say there is a problem at our server, I don't have any issues getting our podcast when I manually enter it in iTunes.

My mum upgraded from iTunes (the version with the green icon) to the latest version and now we can't find her music files anywhere on the computer.
The playlist is still there - but iTunes can't find any of the files.

Every single time I connect my ipod, it keeps saying: "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes."

I've restored this thing countless times already. I got it to work twice and in the middle of syncing the songs/videos, it would stop and say there was some problem reading the iPod. Then I had to restore it. AGAIN. It is still not working for me. Is it repairable at home or should I ultimately take it to an Apple certified technician (my last option--don't want to waste (gas and fixing) money and a long trip to the Apple store.) Please help.

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but when I try to use Front Row to connect to a shared iTunes library on my home network, it cannot locate it at all, or any of its contents. On the same machine (MacBook Pro running 10.5.4) iTunes will find the shared library (running on a Mac Mini also running 10.5.4) no problem and I can stream all the music, TV episodes and movies I have in the library, but when I open Front Row to use the nice interface and navigate the contents, it will only look at the local machine and lists nothing at all under Sources in the menu.

Is this by design? I thought a shared library meant that I could share it on any machine. Why would iTunes see it, but Front Row ignore it?

Saw lots of help articles on the net about making Quicktime be set to "wave only." But this didn't help!

Any ideas of how to get iTunes 7 to stop skipping / stuttering? It really makes it unusable.

I recently updated my iPhone Software to version 2.0.1, now each time I connect the iPhone to my PC iTunes informs me that there is an update to the carrier settings. I select "Update Settings" and I receive the attached error.

Sync contacts with Google Contacts - All contacts works fine. However, iTunes fails to load my contact groups, and as a result, I can't sync only specific groups. This is a real nuisance, as G Contacts stores everyone you've ever emailed, and most of them aren't worth having.

I'm using Windows XP, Service Pack 2, and iTunes 7.7.1.11 (latest at present.)

Hardware is iPod Touch 2.0.1

I tried to install new firmware in iPhone. Now it won't stop restoring!
What do I do to get my phone back? I've tried restarting both the phone and my computer. No dice. HELP!

Since upgrading to iPhone 2.0 and iTunes 7.7, my iPhone doesn't sync any iPod files (music, podcasts) and runs the back-up routine every time I plug it in. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

This is a sporadic problem where I'll be putting CDs into the drive and clicking the Import button when the alert box pops up from iTunes. At some point iTunes doesn't complete the Import task, but rather the the CD disappears from the navigation panel altogether. I then have to manually eject the CD, then reinsert it, at which point I again click the Import button--this time it works. Bottom line: I have to put a CD in twice before I can rip it. Lame.

This account was originally opened for my son but it was to have been canceled more than a month ago, but I continue to get charges on my credit card, Please email me at arlnft@comcast.net so that we can solve this problems so that my card is no longer being charged since I cannot trust my son to close the account. No future charges are to be made and I will no longer be responsible for the charges and I have advised my credit card.

The iTunes store has been a hassle for me. Recently my billing info. changed so i went to make a purchase and it asked me to update it. I did and after correcting my address/credit card info it returned me to the itunes store window i had selected the song from. No download commenced. I logged back into my profile and it had the old info listed, even though i had just changed it. To top this off my credit card it charged with a $1.00 or $1.03 "authorization" fee that my "bank" will apparently remove (that's what apple support pages tell me. Any help or insight as to why my info will not update and why I am unable to purchase?

iTunes refuses to let me purchase music from the iTunes store. When I attempt to buy a song, I keep getting taken to an account information screen after I've put in my password. The iTunes account page says my information has 'changed' but everything looks correct when I look it over. Add there is no prompt as to WHAT changed. WTF?

The account has worked previously. I had not changed payment method prior to this problem, but changing payment method as a response to the problem accomplishes nothing. It doesn't work whether I'm paying through PayPal, or paying directly. Bloody annoying. Add that there is no link I can click to get some sort of interactive customer support, either. I don't want to skim through 400+ forum posts. I want to buy some music.

I don't know why.

The Daily show is constantly late on the iTunes store. Apple and the studios needs to get consistent so that they don't driver users to other, more nefarious, methods of getting the shows. Can Apple help fix this?
