This seems to have started by the nubbins on the upper left and upper right of the screen hammering down on the edge of the keyboard. It's all crackly and little pieces of the top plastic are coming off.
I have a first generation AirPort Extreme Basestation (802.11n) that I have hooked up to a big USB drive to provide centralized storage for my house.
However, my wife hasn't installed the AirPort Disk Utility on her (Tiger) MacBook and I can't seem to find the disc that came with the basestation. This seems like the kind of thing that I ought to be able to download from Apple somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.
It looks like AirPort Disk Utility isn't needed in Leopard, but until we upgrade, is there somewhere to download it?
I was getting rid of pictures i do not need. i was deleting and deleting, and i accidently deleted my iphoto application. once opened it back up, all my pictures were gone.

Hi I can't send emails from entourage - every time I try and error message comes up saying '5.7.0 from address is not one of your addresses'. Can anyone help with this?!
I do a lot of typing, and prefer to do things without the mouse if possible, to save time. I am aheavy user of keyboard navigation whenever it is enabled. ALthough this is a built in feature of the OS (See System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts) it does not work in a number of apps. Most surprisingly, it does not work with a number of apps that are part of OSX e.g. Preview, Finder, Safari, Terminal. In particular, the key combination I notice being broken often is Cmd+`, which should allow for the selection of different open windows in the same application (like a Cmd+Tab, but only for the windows of the current application).
Strangely, the functionality works fine in Firefox.
Why is this feature broken in some many Apple apps? Isn't it supposed to be enforced by the OS?
I have .mac and a macbook and am trying to get it so ical will sync and I can access my calendar stuff online on another computer. It says I can on .mac when I go to calendar, but after I have synced (ical is checked) the calendar page on .mac is the same.
How can I get it so I can access my iCal stuff online?
I have been using Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition software on a PC for years. My work is dependent on this. My PC recently died and I decided to replace it with a Mac, running Dragon in Windows (using Parallels). I bought a MacBook (running OS 10.5.3) and loaded Parallels, Windows, and Dragon only to find that my USB microphone sound quality is for the birds. There is a lot of static and the volume and sound quality are completely inconsistent moment to moment. I have seen posts in other venues about microphone problems with Leopard 10.5.2 but 10.5.3 was supposed to fix these problems. I'm in trouble! What gives?
The latch that holds my MacBook Pro appears to be broken. it no longer stays shut. This is a bigger pain than it might seem because after I shut it, the lid pops back up a centimeter and the mac wakes up. So I come back to a dead machine. Thank heavens for my timbuktu bag which holds it snug.....
I have a 3 month old MacBook Pro. Built-in Speakers went out; Keyboard going out too. Apple used shipping service that can not find our house to send repair box. It took a long time. I spent LOTS of time explaining to various Apple people that I run 2 businesses from my NEW computer and can not afford to spend days w/out the computer. I would have liked to get a replacement product to avoid going w/out a computer. APPLE would not work w/me. I planned to buy more macbooks & mac software this year. I will not buy anything from APPLE now. I still like my product but have lost my confidence in APPLE. I bought from apple b/c I wanted what I thought was the best. APPLE needs to reform their customer service if they want to be the BEST product on the market.
I set up parental controls for my children to access my macbook, but it doesn't seem to work correctly. I wanted to limit the time they can spend on the computer to one hour a day. Either my children have figured a way around it, or it isn't working right.
Would someone tell me how they might have over ridden the controls so I can over ride the over ride, or tell me a way to fix it?
By the way, the parental controls for Safari work wonderfully!!
Is there anything around my house I can use as a stylus for my MacBook touchpad? I'm trying to sign a document without the whole print/sign/scan go-round, and using my finger with the pencil tool in Illustrator just isn't cutting it. I need something more precise.
I found a video on YouTube of someone using a battery (since it conducts a current, obvs.), but either it is faked or it only works on a Toshiba laptop.
I have a MacBook Pro just a little over a year old now. The Magsafe adapter charges my MBP fine but the usual set of lights are "green" when full and "orange" when charging. However, since about 5 weeks ago my power adapter turns from orange to black(off) or from green to black. Almost as if the Magsafe was never plugged in. I cleaned out the Magsafe connector and tried it again and it still does the same thing.
The main reason why I am asking if anybody has the same problem is because the Magsafe is not covered under the APP plan. If there are a few people with the same problem then this could be a faulty Magsafe issue and could be covered under the APPs extended warranty.
I don't know what happened. I was working in iPhoto when I ran out of power. Put the power cable on, restarted and all my photos were gone, as well as albums etc.
In Finder I can still see them, but I can not reimport them to the library- I get the message "Unreadable files: The following file could not be imported. (The file is in the iPhoto Library folder). Does anyone know what happened and how I can get them back? They're not in the trash, either.
My iPhone is synchronized with my PC desktop computer at office (calendar, contacts, notes and music are synchronized). At home I use Macbook. I'd like to have them all synchronized e.g. entourage calender, contacts and notes with ones on my iPhone en Outlook items at office. Unfortunately iPhone is synchronizing only with iCal en Address book on Mac and not with Entourage, which I use on Mac instead of Mail.
Between iPhone en Outlook it works fine. But unfortunately entourage doesn't synchronize. Neither can I copy/synchronize my iTunes library with macbook at home. It seems to be working only opposite way from macbook to iphone. Why can't I copy music from iPhone to my macbook?
