I am considering buying a new Imac. I will probably buy the 24 inch as there have been significant substantiated complaints about the 18-bit 20 inch display. Can anyone tell me if/how Apple has addressed the complaints about the spring 08 imac displays -- even the 24-in displays seem to have had problems. Does anyone know if there will be a new imac release this fall in anticipation of the holiday market? THANKS to anyone who replies! Recently when I have tried to update my itunes to the latest (on Windows -- works fine on my Mac(s)) I get a point where it is asking for the previous itunes.msi. There are some itunes.msi on the PC but none that work, and definitely not in the directory that it wants as default. If I try to uninstall that does not seem to work. I am running 7.1.x and I am trying to upgrade to latest.
I had to download 2 small maps when I was traveling to Spain and it cost me 12£ (Europe costs half the price of US). This is quite unfair if you think about how much the O2 service costs already. What's the point of having a GPS if it costs so much to use it when it's really needed (when travelling)?
I discovered today that the GPS is shut off when Airplane mode is engaged. Why does this happen when GPS is a passive receive only service. This decision to have it shut off makes less sense in the light of being able to turn on Wi-Fi with airplane mode engaged.
Please modify Airplane mode so the GPS is no longer disabled when Airplane mode is turned on.
I am disappointed because Apple has some limited support for Itunes Romanian store.
Briefly, I have managed to get a MAC ID to sign in to the Romanian Store (Iphone 3G was launched into Romania by Orange Mobile and I bought one) but still I need to complete the payment details.
The problem is: Itunes Romanian store only accept as payment methods Visa, Mastercard and Amex credit cards. No debit cards accepted, no PayPal accepted (as in US or UK).
Now I only have a debit card which I have used all over the world including in buying online products and services but the only supplier who did not accepted this is Apple with his Itunes Romanian store.
Please note that I have tried to register trough UK and US store (with the debit card and also with my PayPal account) but I was not allow since my billing address for the debit card is in Romania (they were sending me to the Romanian store).
As you know any application for Iphone must be installed from Itunes store so I cannot add any application, either buy music from Itunes.
I would be grateful if Apple would reconsider the payment methods accepted by the Romanian store by adding debit cards or PayPal accounts.
I have itunes 8.1 (latest) and I am trying to use the amazing new visualization as for a party. I have two screens connected to my pc (one 32" and one 24" - both on DVI). However when I full screen the visualization the other screen turns black meaning that music cannot be chosen on the other and neither can other tasks be performed (other than iTunes).
The best solution I could come up with is to run the visualization as it appears when you first open it (with the header and footer bar) then create a playlist called "All" add all the music and open it as a separate window on the other screen.
This looks really lame and both the header and the footer (status) bars are still on the visualization. How can I get around this? If it is not possible please can you add it as a feature?
I was wondering lately... I have a 53 inch LCD screen hooked up to my PS3 and i noticed that screen burn in's are a constant worry of the T.V. designers even when i turn off my PS3 the "no Imput" message moves around the screen to prevent burn-in i also have a 24 inch aluminium imac and i was thinking since it's an LCD too cant it get burn-in especially with the dock and toolbar always there just a thought.
Why does my MacBook Pro not always connect to the internet via WiFi even when my iMac, which sits on the same desk as the notebook, does? The MacBook Pro connects to my home network, but it is unable to access the internet!
As many folks have noted, Outlook 2007 (and 2003, apparently) does not sync properly with the iPhone. Fewer than half of my appointments end up on the iPhone. No obvious rhyme or reason to what's missing. Apple has a FAQ for this (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.ht...), but this did not help me. Without calendar sync, the iPhone cannot replace my Motorola Q. So sad.
I don't buy music of the internet I don't own a apl. i tunes. Why are you takeing money out of my bank account.... I would like to speak with a person about this
