I'm trying to send a text message from my brand new iPhone. After I click Send the progress bar comes up, makes it about 80% of the way, and then just stops. After a few moments it kicks back a message: "Error sending message."
I can make calls from the phone just fine. What's wrong with SMS?
I'm using mobile me to sync 1 iPhone, 1 iMac and 1 Macbook Pro (the latest one) and both computers keeps telling me "This sync requires further attention" even though the settings is automatic and I've synced million times. When I click the icon it says its my first time I'm syncing.
This screenshot was taken 30 seconds after a complete sync....(i checked my iPhone and the updates are there)
I've searched all over for and answer but Apple seems to be reluctant to answer.
After the 2.0.1 update, during sync I get the 0xE8000001 error - some applications cannot be installed. I can download the app in iTunes, but will not sync to iPhone. This did not occur in the past
I get the error below.
We experienced a timeout connecting to this feed at this time. Read timed out
I've tried from multiple computers in multiple locations using various versions of iTunes (Mac and PC).
I've been in touch with iTunes support (level 1 and 2) and they say there is a problem at our server, I don't have any issues getting our podcast when I manually enter it in iTunes.
iTunes shows I've upgraded to the latest iPhone firmware (presumably 2.0 although the version indicator says n/a. However, I get an error message that says "iTunes has detected and iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.
If I try to Restore again, or Option>Restore it eventually brings me back to the same error. In brief, I think I have iPhone 2.0 installed, I just can't restore my phone.
I tried to install new firmware in iPhone. Now it won't stop restoring!
What do I do to get my phone back? I've tried restarting both the phone and my computer. No dice. HELP!
iTunes is still trying to restore my hardware....2 hours later!
Got "unknown error occured (6). Am I going to have to take this to the Apple Store?!?!
I am running Tiger 10.4.11. About two weeks ago, I started getting an alert about every half-hour, saying "Connection failure - The server may not exist or is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and try again." According to the Apple support pages, this happens when running Classic (OS 9) in Tiger and trying to access an AppleShare (AFP) server. But I am not running Classic. Any other ideas what might be happening, or how to diagnose this?
It used to connect fine, until one day it stopped connecting. It just hangs for a bit then gives me the following alert: There was an error joining the AirPort network "xxxxxx"
So I successfully solved the last problem I had (thanks for the help, everybody!), but a new one popped up:
I get it as soon as I plug the 2.0 upgraded iPhone in. Does this just mean the store is down because other people are accessing it? Or is there a workaround?
