amazon is launching the Kindle

Steve: nobody will notice this catagory until you launch the iBook. i'm not talking about relaunching the old laptops. i'm talking about a brand new catagory.

iBook= think sony reader with a 3G/wifi connection and itunes support for books/magazines/newspaper over the air downloads

Steve: the market for books/newspapers/magazines is a lot bigger than the music market. And it is more fragmented so you can actually make some profits on the content.

And it will help your environment record. just think how many trees and petroleum will be saved if people get their morning New York Times on their iBook vs delivered on paper to their house.

and sure people can try to read content on their iphone-but it just doesn't work for books or magazines-the eInk display is so much better for reading. and the battery life is many days of reading.
