Can you disable gmail on a stolen iPhone?

My partner just stole my iPhone and is currently sending an email via gmail to an unfortunate person. I would like to somehow disable him from hitting send in the next 10 minutes. Is that possible by disabling IMAP or changing the password? He is already in the middle of the email message.

i've been using Gmail's IMAP functionality together with Apple Mail.app for quite a while now but for the past few weeks i've been experiencing super slow downloads for incoming mail. It's gotten to a point where receiving maybe 10-15 mails take a few hours (!). I heard Gmails IMAP system is non-standrad so this might have something to do with it. Myabe there are some settings i could twiddle to make things speed up a bit?

Gmail's chat transcripts that end up in my inbox keep downloading and deleting themselves on my iPhone (using IMAP). Is there a setting I need to use to stop this from happening?
