I don't know what happened. I was working in iPhoto when I ran out of power. Put the power cable on, restarted and all my photos were gone, as well as albums etc.
In Finder I can still see them, but I can not reimport them to the library- I get the message "Unreadable files: The following file could not be imported. (The file is in the iPhoto Library folder). Does anyone know what happened and how I can get them back? They're not in the trash, either.
I want to purchase a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4K 8.1MP Digital Camera with 10x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. I am running Leopard on a MacBook and currently using iPhoto 6. (Just haven't gotten around to upgrading to iPhoto 08.) Will my mac and lumix work well together? Flawlessly?
The time displays in iPhoto show the correct 12-hour time in the information panes, but the AM/PM indicators are missing. For example, the time of a photo taken at 2:34:04 PM is displayed as "2:32:04," with no PM indicator.. A screen shot is here.
Only my account is affected. IPhoto running under other accounts on the same machine can look at the same photos with no problem.
I have tried trashing the prefs, reinstalling iPhoto, cleaning the caches, creating an new iPhoto library, posting the problem to Apple's iPhoto support discussion group, and consulting the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store. None of these measures has solved the problem.
I was getting rid of pictures i do not need. i was deleting and deleting, and i accidently deleted my iphoto application. once opened it back up, all my pictures were gone.
can i get them back? and if so how? please help!
took ages and it's of a wedding I photo'd so I was quite excited - but wow! what a let down.
all the images look like they were taken with a cheap phone rather than my kit which cost a lot and takes 36mb images
the whole book was compressed down to 40mb before ordering and I was concerned that this seems small considering it was the biggest book they did, and consisted of 32 pages with around 75 images
anyone else with experience of ordering a book via iPhoto?
this is the first time I feel thoroughly let down by apple as I've been telling the bride and family that the book is going to look great and it's actually embarrassingly poor quality
surely all the books don't turn out so poor or the service would have been shut down by now?
I don't use iPhoto much as I'm a pro photographer using photo mechanic and photoshop and don't really have use for it myself - but I'm surprised that iPhoto, albeit aimed at consumers, downgrades the quality of images to the extent I sadly received
the pictures look great on my camera. they even look great in iphoto. once I open them up as a jpeg outside of iphoto or upload them to flickr or other services they look like garbage. super grainy and discolored. am I doing something wrong or can I fix a setting in iphoto to resolve this?
