Anyone else getting the snow leopard restart blue screen of death?
twice since i've installed snow leopard, my macbook pro os has seemingly randomly restarted.
ill be working on something, then the screen just goes blue, and all of a sudden it loads the OS just like when you restart. i suspect that the device is not actually restarting because when i try to open an application like firefox, it says that the application is still running...
is it possible to have two versions of the os running at once? or for snow leopard to be running another user in parrellel?
this is getting frustrating as i'm loosing data!

Inappropriate?I'm having the exact same issue. I call it a "semi restart." All open programs quit and any unsaved files are lost. It was first noticed after running Photoshop Elements 4, and decided that was incompatible. It also happens after running AppleWorks. I suspect it's a Rosetta issue. If I run those programs, the blue screen of death may appear even after I quit those programs and be working on something else, unless I have restarted the computer since running those programs. -

Inappropriate?I too have this problem.
I cannot pin it down any application. It seems to occur randomly - sometimes repeating within a few minutes of each other.
A blue screen appears suddenly, then the sytem returns to the finder level and all previous apps are closed and unsaved data is lost.
I can't see anything about this from Apple.
