Apple Care waste of money

Bought a MacBook with apple care and need a replacement because I am in the middle of production (filming in FL) and Local apple store won't do anything but sell a new mac. Not cool. I have 2 days to film . For the thousands of dollars my company has paid Apple it should have been replaced instantly and with a sorry for wasting my time.
