Inappropriate?It is possible, but I don't know if it's worth the time, effort, or money. Is this a first generation shuffle (long one with lanyard) or one of the new ones that clip onto your clothes? If it's the former, you can find a battery for about $20. Here, for example: http://www.smalldog.com/product/43764.
