Can't connect to my USB Disk via Airport Extreme any more - help?
I have a Macbook with Tiger 10.4.11, wirelessly connected to an Airport Extreme base station which connects to broadband internet via Cable Modem, and to a Windows PC via ethernet. I've also got a FAT32 formatted HDD connected via USB to the AEBS, and used this for backup and file sharing between the Mac and the PC. I've been using this setup for 18 months, with no problems at all - I've always been able to see the Airport Disk Utility icon in my Macbook's menu bar, and could connect to the HDD whenever I liked.
Last week I had some app crashes and took the Macbook to Apple Retail tech support (Genius Bar) who removed and reinstalled OSX 10.4.11, which fixed all the app crash issues.
HOWEVER since doing this, I can no longer see the Airport Disk Utility icon in the menu, and I can't connect to my USB HDD. If I connect it directly to my Macbook it works fine but not via the AEBS. I've tried resetting my AEBS and recreating the network, and when I go into Airport Utility and click on Disks it shows that the HDD is connected. I just can't get into it/ can't get it to mount, and Airport Disk Utility isn't doing anything.

Inappropriate? The "Airport Disk Utility" comes in your Airport Extreme base station DVD. You have to reinstall it (if you want to use it)
ELSE
You can enable to view remote disks in your left bar of the finder. It should appear as either "Remote", "Networked" or "Shared."
ELSE
Turn off your MBs wireless & turn off your AEBS (disconnect the power plug)wait 5 minutes and turn it back on. Turn your MBs wireless back on... see if you can access it... else try the same step 2 or 3 times... -
Inappropriate?open Airport utility, click on manual setup, then where it says "version: 7.x.x", click on the word "version". Airport gives you the option to rollback the version, install version 7.1.1
I had the same exact problem, now my USB hard drive plugged into a USB hub with a printer that goes into the Airport works.
