Can't verify my iTunes Store Account
I applied for iTunes Store account. Put in my details and all. Then I get the message about the e-mail sent to me to verify the account. Well... I'm waiting 3 days now.
I tried resending the verification mail several times to different accounts. I checked my spam folders in all of the accounts and nothing.

After you click on the link in your email you will get a security warning for Windows Explorer 8 asking if you want to 'only deliver the content that is being sent securely'...you need to click ‘No’ on this request box. If you click ‘Yes’ the browser will hang. When you click ‘No’ it fires up iTunes and gets you to log in.

I have the same problem for a free account I'm trying to create. Interesting that it was almost instantaneous when I created a paid account last month and gave them a credit card number.

Inappropriate?I had the same issue, i tried 2 email addresses that were Gmail and Hotmail, i received nothing, I re-tried setting up the account again but this time i went to the apps store on itunes, chose a free app and when the box popped up for creating an account, i decided to use my last email address which was from my cable tv/Internet account this time, not a free email service. then i also checked off "receive sftware update emails etc" as well just to see if they were forcing me to subscribe (i figured i'd just unsubscribe later) , i also selected "None" for payment type as well and set up everything normally. once i did all of that and completed the set up, it worked! FINALLY.
I think it has to do with the type of email address you are using, and maybe possibly subscribing to a email notification of some sort from apple, as those were only the 2 differences in my previous attempts. It's likely the email addresses as it would make sense that Apple would make it difficult to use Google and Microsoft products...
I’m unsatisfied with my 1st eperience with Apple products, i would be unlikely to purchase from them again.

My solution Above is for those who **CANNOT get the verification email**, the other problem about accessing the link in the verification email is as athkatla and andrew sullivan describe.... -
Inappropriate?I went to mail.com and created an email and tried the process again and it worked.

andrew sullivans reply works...
I’m glad i got this fixed!

Inappropriate?andrew sullivans reply and Alexandria Randilynn sound more like solutions to another problem all together, this problem here is for people who can't even get the email from apple to verify the account after joining iTunes, sounds like you got this verification email, you just had to change your security settings to allow you to get to the link, this main problem is definitely domain based, it appears that some domains like Hotmail and Gmail are not able to receive the verification email all together. trying a real non public/free email should do the trick

Inappropriate?Use INTERNET EXPLORER, doesnt work with Mozilla
